Boulder Dragon
My first dragon.
About this creation
Ever since I made a Dragon Rider fig awhile back, I wanted to make the actual dragon. I like the general shape of this guy, but his limbs were the most difficult part hands down. This is also the first time I tried cutting around the picture in a photo editing program. I hope you enjoy it.

This shot of his belly shows how awkward the legs are, especially the front ones. After many attempts to try to make smooth and flexible legs, I ended up with these. Since I couldn't get flexible legs, I decided to make them look as chunky as possible. If you have any ideas to improve the connections I am all ears.

This pic show a little more of the body. I like how the shape of the back looks.

I also experimented with the illusion of sitting on the neck.

The fearless rider and his beast.

Amazing PU! I love the tail design, the wrench as a horn, and especially the catapult bucket as the head!

Reminds me of one of the beasts from "How to Train your Dragon." Some very clever PU. Great fig as well!

this is really good! love the use of the catapult for a mouth. and the legs actually give him a lot of character! The more unique dragons the better. hope to see many more dragons from you!

Not bad! This scale is particularly difficult for an organic form, and you really managed it quite nicely. I particularly like the design of the head - some NPU there!

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! I appreciate it. Maybe I was being a little paranoid about the legs. I thought they would stick out from the rest of the dragon.

I think the legs work, they're convincing to me. I like how you built around the catapult piece for the mouth, and I really like the spine. His asymmetrical face is pretty cool, too :)

Fantastic! I've been trying to build a dragon for quite some time now with no luck. You seemed to pull one off quite nicely! Everything fits in my opinion! The legs look perfect with the body! Very well done :)
