About this creation
EDIT: I have added mods mark I and mark II to the sportsman, they can be found here:
I had a three day weekend, so I built this. I used a real Polaris Sportsman 500 as a model. It really could be most any size of Sportsman, because the frame is mostly the same. The higher output models are a little different, but not by much.

I have a few mods I want to apply to this four wheeler, but I wanted to show you the original. If you have any ideas for the mods, or other ideas, leave a comment.

It has currently a m motor for drive, and a m motor for steering. I plan to add a XL motor for the drive, but they are being used in my dozer currently.

Other features as current are independent suspension, and the biggest tires I have, also my only off road tires from set 8297. I also left the front center panel out so I can later add a winch.

There is a rack/bar all the way around the back, for strapping stuff to or holding on to. I also added a gun/tool rack to the front. (Those two pieces sticking up on the front.)

Thanks for looking! Tell me what I should change or add.

Awesome! If this was an original set from Lego I would definitely buy it!! Can you make a video? that would be great! With the xl motor and 4x4 traction it would be great for trial! ;) |

Toe to toe, I think it is one of your best designs yet! the other thing I like is that not many of these exist, this could easily be a high end technic set/concept. 5/5 George, Chris. |

awsome George! this looks like my four wheeler i drive to move pipe! i love the suspension! one thing though, it does look a little skimpy in some spots. anyways, nice job! 5/5
Yah? we have a couple and use them for snow removal. They are way fun to drive. I was going for a little more open Technic set look, but I do think It could use some side panels by the battery box. Thanks for the comments everyone! |

Thanks! I really think lego should do a rugged 4 wheeler like this. |

Very nice! I like the front with the system elements. It's very big for an m motor, but you have already mentioned it. Does the frame touch the ground, if you press it? I think it is very closed to the ground. Great work!
Thanks, it doesn't touch the ground, but the fenders rub on the tires when it's squished all the way. |
