Looks great so far! Can't wait for the final product! For the cockpit, you might want to use the windsheild peice from the Lego X-Wing Fighter: http://www.brickwars-sets.com/set_page_6212.php It's small, but looks like the winsheild in the the Halo series (accurate). But, judging by the size of your pelican, you may want to use the same windsheild that Justin Sabor Scorp used on his pelican.
