Built for the Heroica custom board contest
About this creation
I remember reading a Lego Club magazine, and somewhere in it there was a blurb about Draida bay, and how the queen got turned into a sea monster. This interested me and I thought I'd make a revamped Draida. I couldn't find the Magazine, but I found a blurb on the Lego website linky , which is much more informative.

Back view

A hidden goblin waiting in ambush, Works on the similar principles as a treasure chest, roll a three or a shield and your hero spots the goblin, roll a one or a two and the goblin successfully ambushes the hero, adding one more strength level.

Oh look, and undead lobster(cause it's a red/cooked lobster =p)strength one.

spider and houses.

the dock, with a ship! this map is less of a race between players, because all the player have to be on the ship for it to leave port.

the ship can fit three mirco figs, and can be modified to fit up to six.

once all the players are on the ship, it sails to a small island off the coast, with the ruins of the old lighthouse, now overrun by(wait for it) the sandwitch! Hahahahaha...yeah >_>

Seen here is the native island troll, a strength two monster.

The Sandwitch herself, and the crystal that controls the sea monster. once the sandwitch is defeated, the crystal can be used to get rid of the monster, and be keep to add an extra square of movement per turn.
The sea monster's tentacles, the little ones are strength two, and the big one is strength three. Once defeated, the tentacles, come back after two turns. the area over which the tentacles can reach is a bit hazy, and can be determined by the DM.

and for additional fun, the ship can be beset by the monster mid journey.

Congratulations. You have been awarded 4th place in the fifth Heroica custom board contest (February 2012). I was particularly impressed with the decoration detail of the board.
