After the success of the LARA, many military offices began to take notice of VDS's helicopter designing facilities. Although the larger cousin to the Low Observation Airframe, the LARA, is still operating with perfection, many air forces and armies across the globe requested something smaller, lighter, and more easily maintained due to budget restrictions. Thus the LOA was adopted and performs many of the same duties as the LARA but with a much more well suited reconnaissance and communications suite. Usually armed with a 12.7mm cannon and one to two TOW missiles, it can also perform support and anti-armor roles as to help out whatever infantry outfits are nearby.
