A New Refuge
I'm just experimenting with some ideas before the MocAthalon, so I wanted to work on my micro-scale building and forced perspective. Enjoy.
About this creation
"We found it. After years of searching, we finally found a new refuge for the human race. It looks promising."

-Lt. Joshua Lonter, Crew Member aboard the Refuge .-

"As we came upon the gem, we quickly noticed a sand colored moon. It had darker sections on it, and was clear that it once could support life as well as the planet."

-Pr. Nathaniel Davis, Flight Coordinator for the Refuge.

"We saw the planet with it's lone moon coming out of the utter blackness of space. We were home at last,"

-Commander Travis Hornsburg, Leader of the Refuge expedition.-

"We turned the ship in the direction of the moon. We were going to search it."

-Pr. Natosha Williams, Crew Member aboard the Refuge.-

"The human race was home. Years upon years of war and suffering, only to find out our new home was just next door. Upon seeing it, the crew let out a sigh of relief, and then Jackson said 'Drinks are on me!' We were thrilled to see the planet. So thrilled we gave it a name: Refugium"

-Lt. Col. Wayne Robinson, Second in Command aboard the Refuge.-

Fourth Wall: This was a quickie, but was fun while I made it. Inspired by Ru Corder's Approaching The Planet . Cheers Ru!

Hmmm, I like how you decided to make the entire image Physical Brick, instead of editing the images to make it appear in space using effects and backgrounds, it maintains a consistent style that I personally enjoy. Nice work on this brainstorm. Oh, also, while it may not be the image of the Creation itself, I have this little guy on my Desk, http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/84838/1330228419m_DISPLAY.jpg

Awesome, and finally someone could think of a decent (in this case epic) way to use those planet bricks!

That´s really awesome! Maybe some stars in background could be that final touch. 5/5 I love that spaceship.

Finally a good use for those planet pieces. :P I'd much rather make a brick-built planet anyway, but that's just me. Nice bit of miniscale here. ;)

Nicely done! It helps to have the camera far away and zoomed in when you're doing forced perspective. It helps to put both subjects more in focus.

Pretty nice, you captured the black emptiness of space pretty well in this MOC. Is there any chance of turning this into a sort of series? You know, like one where it focuses on the struggling crew on their new home planet... I don't know, it's just an idea.
