Reminds me of "A Song of Ice and Fire," series, in which a general does almost exactly this, and is quite close to how I pictured the scene.
Haha, awesome, so that's a fantasy book? Sounds interesting. Glad to have captured the moment for ya :) Cheers Aidan. |

Fact: Shields had all but vanished from military arsenals by the 16th century due to the advent of the arquebus in the late 1400s. Nonetheless, this is still very awesome. Keep up the good work.
Thanx mate, hate to argue with a friend, but you will also find that while fire-arms existed in the 1500's, they were not so common that a trumped up warlord would not still enlist soldiers that carried shields. People wore full plate armor in the 16th century, the Austrians were especially famous for their full plate barded warhorses and suits of armor during a busy era spent fight the barbaric turks. I have been to an Austrian Knights display and seen 16th century shields with shot holes through them and it was very interesting seeing such transitional evidence in front of me like that. Cheers mate... |

Hehe, too right. A pub is menat to be somewhere a bloke can retreat to grumble about how rough the world is, not be judged by his hairstyle and shirt! Bright modern pubs are for yuppies! |

Hehe, I kind of am known for sci-fi, but am really rather a castle nut myself. I just tend to steer away from these types of builds cos they seem unoriginal to me, everyone else is doing them. But you know what hey say, if you can't beat them, join them! lol... |

Cheers D', yeh it was the original Moc that front, and I was happy enough with it to build the interior just so that there'd be nice backgrounds visible through the windows! Then I figured I might as well go all the way and make the interior vig worth if you will itself. Bout time I did a nice interior like you guys do! |

G'day Tyler! Yeh, they are from a H.Potter set a while back that had a werewolf in it and snowy hide away or something. I can't remember the set no, and having not seen any of the movies can't really think of any better clues to point towards. Hope that helps? And yeh, they are my fave Lego window piece by far, I've been trying to get more for ages but hard to find. The set came with two... Cheers mate :) |
