Rahksanne, the Night Spark
My attempt at a female Rahkshi. Rahksanne is an original character designed by me, and adopted into the official Lotem-Ghetta Universe. All other characters (except Josan) in the story are of Ben Cossy's imagining. Enjoy!

Rahksanne

During the rise of Teridax, Aqua Magna was in turmoil. Rahkshi ran rampant, rounding up Matoran as slaves to the Makuta. When Teridax heard of Mata Nui’s presence on Bara Magna, he knew he had to personally attend to the threat. However, Teridax was unsure of his Rahkshi’s competency to keep Aqua Magna secure while he was away. Therefore, he began to design a Rahkshi Captain, capable of commanding the hordes in the absence of Teridax. His first attempt was strong, but not creative enough to hold its own against a Toa. Much to Teridax’s frustration, the Captain was quickly destroyed.
After some extensive redesigning, Teridax began work on a second, more powerful Captain named Rahksanne. This Captain was given a higher level of personality than the first. When tested, Rahksanne was more than competent in defeating a Toa. However, Rahksanne was too intelligent to blindly follow orders like other Rahkshi, and Makuta failed to instill evil into the Captain when creating it. Rahksanne defeated the Toa, but hesitated on a killing stroke. Teridax ended the fight, and recalled Rahksanne. Considering the Rahkshi to be a failure, Teridax put the Rahksanne into storage. There, it was able to think. She, for the Captain had decided that it was feminine being, realized the evil that Teridax had inside him, and resolved to smite the Makuta the first chance she got.

A few weeks later, she got the chance when Teridax’s next creation, called Cossy, rebelled and freed Rahksanne and some Toa that were also imprisoned. They were, however, re-captured and forced to face the full wrath of Makuta. After obliterating one of the Toa with a mighty fist, Teridax set the Rahkshi hordes upon the surviving group. The Rahkshi, while individually weaker than Cossy or Rahksanne, overwhelmed them with numbers and incapacitated the group. The Rahkshi especially hated Rahksanne, considering her to be a traitor to their race. Rahksanne’s staff was taken from her and broken in two, taking away her power over Darkness. They were hauled into Makuta’s robot body and imprisoned until he was defeated by Mata Nui.

After the fall of Makuta, Cossy, Rahksanne, and the other surviving Toa (a Toa of Red Lightning named Josan and a wise Toa of Light named Lakuva) formed a team known as the Sentinels, who were tasked with freeing Spherus Magna from the remainder of Teridax’s forces and other dangers. They successfully defeated many an opponent, despite Rahksanne’s lack of powers and Cossy’s difficulty controlling his Makuta-designed bloodlust. However, the Sentinels faced a particularly powerful evil that defeated the four heroes. Josan was killed, and Cossy was wounded before they could escape.

Rahksanne hated herself for lacking the power to save Josan, and feared that she might be unable to aid Cossy should he find himself in a life-threatening scenario. Both she and Cossy were created by Makuta, so Rahksanne considered Cossy to be family, and shuddered at the thought of losing him. She took her concerns to Ignam, the blacksmith Matoran who freed Cossy from Teridax’s command. Ignam was a wise Matoran, and found a way to use the heartlight of the late Josan to forge a blade for Rahksanne. Similar to her original Staff of Darkness, this sword, named the Red Phoenix, gave Rahksanne the power over Red Lightning. With her newfound power, Rahksanne and Cossy returned to the city where the evil was brooding, and dispatched it with ease.

Due to the success of Cossy and Rahksanne, the Toa Mata decided to grant Cossy the title of Lord of Blue Flame, and assigned him a Toa team with Lakuva. Much to Rahksanne’s disappointment, she was not given a position on Cossy’s team. Cossy naturally asked her to join him, but she declined. If the wise and mighty Toa Mata did not see her as worthy to be considered a Toa, she figured the young heroes that made up Cossy’s Toa Lotem would also be unable to accept her less than Toa-like form. She left Cossy to roam the desert, thwarting raid attempts of Bone Hunters and Skrall bandits on travelling Matoran. Rahksanne did not wish to frighten the Matoran she saved, so she adopted an elusive nature. These mysterious encounters with a lightning-powered vigilante led Matoran to give her the nickname, “The Night Spark”.

Occasionally, Rahksanne and Cossy cross paths, but their duties often keep them apart: two legends, both with the same origin, but forever separated by different destinies.

Arm design. Fairly straightforward, but I like it.

The legs are even more straightforward, but again, I like how they turned out despite their simplicity.

This is about as cute as Rahksanne gets. While she is kind by nature, she is also quiet, and a bit awkward. Her true merit lies in her ferocious combat skills. Very few who have sparred with her since the forging of the Red Phoenix have defeated her.

Rahkshi Captain armor is slightly larger than normal Rahkshi armor, and is equipped with a tail. Balance isn't really an issue, so most assume that Makuta intended for Captains to utilize their tails for combat purposes. Rahksanne has certainly taken advantage of the design.

Rahksanne was close to Lakuva and Josan, but she especially cared for Cossy. In a way, they were brother and sister.

(in the Rahkshi language)???: Hey! Traitor!
(in the Rahkshi language)Rahksanne: Huh?

(in the Rahkshi language)Rahkshi: Looking for this? Hahaha!

(in the Rahkshi language)Cossy: Get out of here before we short circuit your armor and pin your Kraata up in an etymologist's display case!
(in the Rahkshi language)Rahkshi: Yikes!

Rahksanne and her Staff of Darkness.

Feel the power!

Rockin' out.

Still rockin'...

...

...

Ignam: Whoa, you rock!
(in the Rahkshi language)Rahksanne: Ha! I have a fan! <3
(in somewhat shaky Matoran language)Rahksanne: T-thanksss!
Ignam: You're welcome. I think. I honestly didn't understand a single word you said.
(in somewhat shaky Matoran language)Rahksanne: I am ssstill... learning. Matoran ssspeak isss... difficult.
(in the Rahkshi language)Rahksanne: When he's a slug in Rahkshi armor, THEN he can complain about my pronunciation.

Rahksanne's weapons. Originally, I was only going to build the sword, but I just had to continue.

Ignam was also a continuance of the Rahksanne story and build. His gun was a tablescrap, and I decided to build him to go along with it.

Ignam has a more prominent role to play in Ben Cossy's new storyline. Coming to MOCpages soon, I'm told.

These "dummy" Rahkshi have been sitting around for a while. They are basically just an upscaled version of the Stars Rahkshi, to better fit with the larger Toa of MOCpages.

The torso is fairly simple, consisting of only an Ignika assembly and a Hero Factory 1.0 limb.

Feel free to use this design. Credit would be appreciated, but it's really not so special that I would expect anyone to.

Jordan: Help me! I need my connector piece back!
Rahksanne: Oh dear...

Well, that's all, folks! This idea has been long in the making, and I am very happy with how the story and the build both turned out. That said, I will quite possibly make a V2 in the future, so suggestions are much appreciated. And yes, Cossy and I have decided to merge our universes. Since the timeline between the Toa Lotem and the Toa Ghetta is extensive, you probably won't see much difference, but any official characters Ben creates are official Ghetta Nui Characters, and vice-versa. Collaboration for the win!

Thanks for viewing, and let me know what you think!

Kind of a super-Rahkshi look to this MOC. Nice looks to the torso piece from that kk shoulder, still keeps the body compact, and emphasizes the dorsal blades. I like it! Cheers!

Quite a different MOC, there arn't too many female rahkshi, last one I saw was Callan's. Well, I'm not really to shure what to say about this one. The body design is a bit hunched over, and it's somewhat bulky, not very female looking. Spine is cool though, and those weapons are EPIC!

Great work here. :) The story is nice, the MOC itself is cool too. The arms and legs are a little disappointing, but they look good considering the simplicity. ;) The rest of the MOC is epic. Love the weapons. :D Keep up the good work bro!

Quoting Leaith The Silent Knight is that a bent axle for the tail????anyways great job
No, it's a rubber lego piece that's supposed to bend. This is an almost entirely legal build.

Excellent work cody it has very nice features but i think that knights kingdom armor kinda made it look fat but i thin the savage planet spikes look perfect it looks like the spikes from the first bionicle movie and that is a big plus for me and i think that staff looks very nice and fitting and is that a bent axle for the tail????anyways great job

Quoting Kaleb Lehrman Is her name supposed to be pronounced like 'Roxanne'?
Yep! I know it's not my norm to make Bionicle names that are similar to human names, but it seems to fit.

Quoting S.E.D . LOOKS AWESOME! I really like the spine! The cloth in-between her legs looks a bit odd, but I like the idea :)
It was supposed to be a skirt of sorts. There are two more capes on her hips. I agree that they are a little inconvenient, but she didn't look quite feminine enough without it.

Fantastic color scheme! Very nice. The silver detracts from the feel a bit, but I can understand why you included it- it's not an evil character, after all.

Wow, that's an incredible moc!!! Loving the whole concept her, and that back story was excellent! The lower arms are good, but they don't really fit my taste. Oh well. Only real thing that bugs me is the KK chest plate, if it were a darker color, it would look MUCH better! Still, Well done! :D

Quoting Vored 03 Wow, fantastic work on this creation! She gives a really nice first impression, and I like all the details on her! The legs and arms are simple, but the greebling is well done. The body is excellent made, the silver chest armor fits perfectly! And the Hero Factory parts on her back made it look like in the first Bionicle film, that's very cool. Both weapons (sword and staff) look very good, but maybe the staff is a bit too big for her smaller size, she can barely hold it as seen in one picture. Altogether, this is another amazing creation from you!
Thanks! With the staff, I did get a bit carried away with the details. I figured a Staff of Darkness would be intricate. Unfortunately, intricate usually equates to big with Bionicles. :p
