Classic Space Punk *
The Classic Space Punk flies through the galaxy, searching for authority to disrespect...
About this creation
*(With a HUGE nod to MortalSwordsman , whose build with the same title inspired this. Some ideas are too good to leave alone..)

It's a regular hive of activity at the spaceport - they're all excited; the starfleet's flagship is coming today. Everyone's making sure it's all perfect...

Classic Space Punk lands and gets in the way..

The big screen flickers into life, 'Hey, you can't park there! We've got important visitors coming any minute now!'

(The first person to correctly tell me where that sticker comes from gets 3 free comments.. and yes, it is quite old.)

Classic Space Punk doesn't want trouble, he leaves as the flagship lands, 'Ooo, that's old!' (Vintage from 1979...)

Now there's a sight to make AFOLs of a certain age suffer a little crisis...

But.. 'Gah! What's happened to my ship ?'

'Hehehe.. pimped my ride!'

'Calling all stations! We have a fugitive with Federation property!'

'Why are you calling us ? We're Futuron...'
Damn that noise. Why do we have to be next to a train line!
'Sorry wrong number..'

That's better...
'Yes! We have him on our screen..'

'We'll send a rocket up from our Rovering Launcher Thingy...'

'You've got an RLT ? Great, use that...'
'Ready... 5,4,3,2,1 - Launch!'

Gonna need some warp speed there, fella...

Will Classic Space Punk outrun the rocket ? Will his ride stay pimped ? Who thinks of this stuff...? All these questions and less will be answered in the next episode. Probably.

Oh yes. Lovely, and love the old sticker from the ideas book 6000, great touch! The land rover was my favorite build here, though that mo-hawk was pretty funny :)

Hi Tom, try Bricklink for the idea book 6000: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=6000 that's a lot cheaper than Amazon :-))

Oh yeah, I love it! That's a great Classic Space story. And you've rebuilt the good old LL928! In the early 80s I spent hours and hours playing with it (I got it for Christmas 1979). It was dismounted and rebuilt several times and (of course) modified to "pimp" it. The space station is great, too, it really has this Classic Space look. Oh, and I have the sticker, too, it's still glued to three white 1x8 bricks :-)) The LEGOLAND idea book was great, especially the space section with LL924 having an Encounter of the 3rd Kind and with an alternative for LL928. I like your grey version of the Space Punk, the colour scheme is great for Classic Space. Maybe you could add a little more colour, as he's still a punk ;-)) I could go on and on, this scene is so retro! (Oh no, I sound like my parents when they are talking about the 50s or 60s...) Great job! :-))

Ah, good ol' classic space. Nice take on it. I have that book where the sticker came from, used to read it all the time to get inspiration, even though it came before my time. Again, nice take on a classic.

This is a beautifully executed concept, it's so cool to see all the classic space elements paired with some more modern building techniques. It's always interesting to see something besides a car from you, and this is no exception, I love it! (But don't think I don't find your cars interesting too, they are always fantastic!)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Got home from work in a bit of a grump but after seeing this I have a huge smile on my face. Thanks Nick :D. A wonderful build full of fun and skill. I am honoured you have used a Classic Space Punk – I love your version especially how you have positioned the pilot under the mohawk. It actually looks like his hair hahaha. I wish I had more space lego, I have practically used all my remaining pieces on my build. Can’t wait for the next episode.
Really glad to brighten your day! :-)

Lovely old LEGO´s. I remeber i had a lot of those sets when i was just a kid. And again within the next month im going to pick up all my old lego. Bet i have about ˝ a square meter packed in a cellar by my parents including all the old manuals. Im so looking forward to se what i have forgotten i have. Also these days having fallen in love with LEGO once again offcourse all bricks will contribute to what we are building. Seeing your lovely setup made me think of when i was a kid, and opening up that new set my dad or mom had bought for me. Good old memories. Lovely setup, lovely punkship. ;)

Brilliant Nick! I love this and so will Joe I'm sure. Your storylines are so funny! I want to come and play with this. And please don't kill off Space Punk in the next episode, he's so cool! I'm hazarding a guess at 6970 but i'm probably wrong.

That's a lot of references, Nick. I'm already in enough of a crisis from all the grey hairs I see in the mirror. A nice ear ring would go well with that mohawk in the next episode. Great stuff, you old bugger.
