While waiting for my brother to finish his current stop-motion, I decided to take a break from animations and put together an MOC. It is one of my better MOCs, so I hope you will enjoy it.

About this creation

This is my first attempt at the SNOT technique, and I think it turned out pretty well - with the help of my brother for occasional advice. I had this idea a while back, but just recently, I decided to do something about it. The result was a larger scene.

Gunpowder was invented, documented, and used in China where the Chinese military forces used gunpowder-based weapons technology (i.e. rockets, guns, cannon), and explosives (i.e. grenades and different types of bombs) against the Mongols when the Mongols attempted to invade and breach the Chinese city fortifications on the northern borders of China. -Wikipedia

As a note, the Europeans didn't actually fight the Chinese, it was just a thing I added to display the gunpowder's superiority.

Here, my brother masked this picture, as well as edited all of these.

I just had to include a rock formation!

A couple of photos of the scene without the minifigures and boat.

While taking the pictures, I realized that the overall MOC colors from a distance resembles the Boxcar Children MOC that my brother and I built for our sister! Doesn't it? :)

This is a color/lighting work of art. Whatever lighting you employed somehow made the colors rich and vibrant. Just an amazing look with mostly classic colors... who da thought! :)
