Cantina - Mos Eisley, Tatooine. The outside reveals little as to what activities take place here...
About this creation
MOC of the Cantina, located in Mos Eisley, the largest spaceport on remote planet of Tatooine. The outside reveals little as to what activities take place here, but the shady crowd of characters found inside take advantage of this venue to relax, trade and make deals that need to avoid attention.
This Star Wars location is an inspiration to many LEGO builders, and in this case I did keep much of the overall layout and architecture style fairly close to that depicted in the movie, but obviously it has some differences.

Stormtroopers on patrol, keeping an eye out for any disturbances.

Patrons can enjoy a wide variety of beverages, snacks and the Shisha pipe from the centrally located bar.

The all-alien band belts out some lively tunes from the elevated stage.

Luke, C3PO and R2D2 in the entrance alcove.

Chewbacca and Obi-Wan Kenobi… “I need transport to Alderaan”

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke speaking to Han Solo..."we would like to avoid any Imperial entanglements"

Han Solo and Greedo… “Solo, you should have paid Jabba when you had the chance”

So outstanding... I'm trying to go super minimal on my take on Mos Eisley and this one is pulling me in the opposite direction!
The exteriors are incredible. Nice work. The challenge of the bar, I think, is to make it look appealing on the outside since generally when it's displayed the observer sees the outside.
This should be an ultimate collector's set! ;) |

I like how you used upside down air balloons as the the cantina roof. The overall appearance looks great. It could use a few touch ups though. |

Nice work. Love the interior design. I have an entire Mos Eisely, but my cantina isn't as good. Thanks for the ideas for improvement. I also have a color coded Coruscant, complete with realistic civilians, double doored entrances, sidewalks, vehicles cops, and everthing is four or five levels. It is a really big and good city, but if you make one with your pieces, and i see it, I'll probably get some more good ideas too. Please try!
Thanks from Russia,
Vladmir |

You know, I gotta tell you... the offical LEGO version of this... hmph... is so much better... hmph, huh huh... than yours... sorry, I can't even TYPE that with a straight face. You sir, have elevated star wars mocs to a new level! between this and your Jabba hangar, I'm just gonna quit while I'm ahead. It's stuff like yours that make the rest of us mere mortals want to curl up in the corner and cry a little. Can't wait to see something new! Good on ya mate. ~ Chris. |
