I remember building one of these out of k´nex in engineering class back when I was 14. Nice demonstration of structure and use of a much under-rated part.

Hmmm... add some brown bars and a few more tree parts in the right places, put a trunk in the bottom and you've got one of those pruned trees!

That's pretty nifty! Are you planning on using it as part of another MOC, or is this just a tablescrap/experiment? Either way its quite unique :)
