This is my first attempt at a mech. It is also a challenge to myself to be resourceful. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the wonderful joint pieces that you find in Bionicle or Hero Factory. All I have are your basic Technic connectors. The joints have, regretably, been locked into the positions you see because there's too much weight for any of the joints to support, which is actually where this build got its name. (That, and "Heavy Plastic" sounds kind of wimpy). Hope you like it. Please rate it and let me know what you think.

Very nice for your first mech! It reminds me of something from the "Mech Warrior" games. And it has a claw! The claw...
Oh no! It's the claw! Hahaha. Ah, movie references. You hit a soft spot for me, TF. |

this is great for a first try, however, for a really great mech, you need more of a monotone color, long legs, big feet, and projectile weapons! if you want to see some good mechs, looks at my latest ones, or dawn of greatness's! still, 5/5 |

It is easy to miss stuff on here beacuse there is so much to see. All your builds are great and very playable. I try to do the same with all mine as well. What good is making it if you can have your kids (or yourself) play with it until it breaks? I have wanted to tackle a mech for a while but not sure were to start. Your is a very good first attempt. If it were mine I would be happy. |

Nice job on this, Chief!
I'll take it...as a first attempt. More to come, (whenever I want to pull away from all my ships), hopefully only to get better. Thanks for the comment, though. |

Great mech! the claw is definitely a unique feature and I love it. The mech looks nice and armored which is always good, but weight can be a problem. I often have a hard time balancing a mech with different leg configurations so having the joints being "locked" into one position isn't that uncommon with mechs. anyways... nice job!!
Thanks a lot. I appreciate the comments. I went to your page but most of your pics are not loading for me. I was only able to look at the dark grey ship that heads your Star Wars folder. That was awesome.

Amazing idea, its like the mechanical soldiers they had in the movie `Avatar` !.....well done
Thanks a lot. Honestly, that wasn't an inspiration for this piece, but I definitely see the similarities. |

Nice balanced design. That pincer is clever and looks suitably menacing! |

This is a great mechanical and I feel you pain on the lack of cool joints.
Thanks. I want to do this sort of work again, so a Hero Factory set is on my shopping list. |
