I haven't seen anyone here do a take off or a MOD of a Lego Store Monthly Model Build. Well I hope I am the first. The strange thing was the parts I received matched up with the parts on my card BUT there were parts not on the card nor my bag that were needed to build the model according to the instructions! so I came up with the best of both and put in my own spin using one of my Christmas Nutcrackers and a Lemax Christmas one from this year - holding a flag! Hence my MOD was born!
