It's been a little while since I posted anything, so to break the silence I made some variations of my existing creations. I'll also try to continue presenting new characters from my story.
About this creation
This bad boy is the MSX-06ZB "Blademaster" Gundam, a variant of the Werewolf Gundam. Tough this is how the Werewolf was originaly designed at first(but later changed due to advancement in beam weapon technology). Still, Federation HQ decided to create a special task force called "Exorcists", that would be outfitted with the most advanced and state of the art technology to combat the latest Pirate treath.

The "Blademaster" is, in essence, a copy of the Werewolf or a customized high performance melee variant, with lighter armor and two Beam Slashers. This unit is piloted by Ace pilot Lt. Lisa Steel, a young female pilot, who earned her nickname "Demon Blade", after defeating about 15 enemy Mobile Suits alone, with only a pair of beam sabers. She's a master of martial arts and melee weapons. Also, she's the third member of the "Exorcists"(there are 5 in total).

Now to the MOC!

New "V-fin" design

"Buckler" arm shields

beam inactive

beam active

additional short beam

The two blades can form a huge sword staff

Lisa the "Demon Blade"

Blademaster in rollout colors, performing some stances

"Many shall fall today..."

First attemt at editing a picture with GIMP, kinda fail :P

My personal color version

Break Blade meets Gundam meets Knightmare: A little experiment with the head design and the changing of the torso with my Break Blade torso.

Have I mentioned that she likes collecting MS trophies?

Thanks for viewing!

This is an awesome Gundam. My favorite parts would be the head designs and the action poses, especially the part where it is surrounded by multiple Mobile Suits. Ingenious.

Thanks, though I cannot allow myself to take full Credit for the following Image, while I did in fact do all the editing work, the Idea to do the Dynamic Effects was sparked when RGF and I were discussing Effects. While I prefer LEGO(R) Effects, I had to try to make Dynamic Effects of my own, while I never asked RGF to show me his Techniques, mainly due to the fact I cannot stand GIMP, I believe the effects came out all right enough. http://refiningstyle.blogspot.com/p/photo-tests.html, here's the Image he made to show me an example of his work, http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/84838/1324327177m_DISPLAY.jpg

If you're refering to the ones that you shown me, than I think they're very good and creative.

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free Oh, just a heads up, I have Two Exams this Week, and will be waiting for my New Software Package to arrive on Tuesday before working your Image. I want to make it with the New Software to ensure it is the best it can be. So, bear with me.
Ok, no probs! I'm a patient person. :P

Thanks a bunch for these man!! I'll be sure to use this sometime! Oh and your offer to make a background for me to use, since I'm terrible in photo editing, I'd be happy to have one made by you. I was thinking on making/getting a background that would be similiar to what Forte used for his Jaeger's background. I'm kinda bored by the white backgrounds all the time.

Hmmm, I see, I think I can pull of such a style. Once I have it made, I will send you a link to the image for you to download. While I am not worried about you giving credit, I do want it done in a certain way, but I'll explain that when I post the link. Also, do you have a preference for any particular colour schemes you want for the image? Or do you want a single colour to be used in varying shades like the one in FN's BG? Also, I will try to make the image so you shouldn't have to do any additional editing, at least to the image itself.

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free Hmmm, I see, I think I can pull of such a style. When I make the image, it will be 1600x1096, so you may have to do some minor editing to have the image fit in the desired fashion, but it should be a simple size transformation. Once I have it made, I will send you a link to the image for you to download. Also, do you have a preference for any particular colour schemes you want for the image? Or do you want a single colour to be used in varying shades like the one in FN's BG?
That's fine with me. I think varying shades would be the best, and I was thinking if you could make it in two different color versions? Colors would be red and purple.

Yeah, there is something about having a Huge Weapon that makes you feel powerful, but I was the guy in Armored Core who would take on Tank Types, with enough firepower to make them akin to Moving Fortresses, with a Skinny Lightweight and a Sword, so they never appealed to me as much, but as I said, it's up to the pilot what they want from their weapons. As for finding Images to use, try to find Free to use images to avoid infringement on other people's work, such as http://www.flickr.com/groups/freeuse/. I also suggest browsing around on http://www.deviantart.com/ and if you find something you can always ask the artist directly if you can use it. Also, by doing that, you can help an artist gain some attention. Also, while it may not be the style you desire, I could make you something, if you want. Here are some examples of my Artwork, http://breakingthelimitationsofreality.blogspot.com/ and http://refiningstyle.blogspot.com/p/photo-tests.html.

Quoting andros tempest Some clever parts usage here, and I really like the colour scheme on the main figure. The variants are cool, and on closer inspection aren't just colour swaps, which is really cool.
The red and black one is just a color swap, the black, white, blue one is the first incarnation of this MOC as I started to experiment with the new design. The white one is also an experiment tough the head design on that one is different. I love to make more color schemes for one MOC because different colors can bring out a different feeling from the exact same build.

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free Yeah, now that you mention that, the colouring does hint towards the Original Calamity Gundam Colors. And last time I checked Graham's Masurao used only Beam Sabers, though he did use solid blades later on, but that ended up turning against him seeing how Setsuna grasped the blade at the last second and turned the tide of the battle. Also, the Technical Aspect of those Katana were iffy, they weren't true GN Blades, but that's a different topic. Now, I agree that they may be more energy effective, but they would be slower than a normal Beam Saber due to the added mass, and to me the Beam Saber's advantage is that they are very light. I feel that added mass would potentially add cutting power to solid blades, but from what I have learned about Beam Sabers, no matter how hard a beam edge comes down, it doesn't affect the rate the beam edge slices through, as it relies on the energy to erode the armour once the field that contains the energy is disturbed, not the physical force applied, but that's the impression I got when digging into on the subject. Now, I'll admit, having the solid portion would allow some defensive tactics to be used that a Beam Saber would have difficultly replicating, if it were able to. Though, an offensive aspect that I like about pure Beam Sabers is that some are able to adjust various characteristics, and that makes such Sabers versatile, which I like. However, what weapons you use really depends on what you want from the weapons. For instance, people think I'm crazy for using a Sniper Rifle, instead of a Machine Gun on a CQC Unit when I play games like Armoured Core, but seeing how I only use my Gun when I'm farther away from Targets and the fact that I'm constantly moving, it doesn't make sense to waste time standing still to shot a few shots. So, it's nice having a Weapon with a fast projectile that does decent damage. It boils down to this, no matter how much person A thinks a Weapon is a bad weapon, if person B can use it very well, it's a good weapon as far as I'm concerned. Besides, the Beam/Solid Blades do look cool with this unit, and to some degree that also matters.
Well ,I agree on these facts that you stated. It's all just entertainment and honestly, I like huge weapons even if they are unrealistic from time to time.

Quoting Rabid Goldfish That does look good, but I was refering to the second picture underneath the caption, "Many shall fall today..." That is the one the you MUST place on that backgound. Maybe shift it so the foot is near the bottom edge, but that's the one. ^Blub^
Oh I see it now, hmm I'll try it later, tough for that scene I imagined a big crater in the desert but sadly I couldn't find any backgrounds that would come close that. Do you have an idea where I could find some good background material that would go well with scenes like these?

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free Nice work on this, though I still have a personal issue with weapons that resemble the Anti Ship Beam Sabers of the SEED Series, I personally prefer to keep my Blades either Solid or Beam. But that doesn't change the fact that this is well built.
Well, normal beam sabers are not too long and can't be used effectively in actual melee combat. However, the solid sword with a beam edge can be twice as long as a standard saber with less energy usage. And I'll admit it, this unit was mostly influenced by the Sword Calamity Gundam

That wasn't a bad photo edit, it was pretty good for a first try. But the photo you posted above it would look killer on that background! For shot like that, you have to plan the posing and positions based on the background. Nice sword set, one of my favorite of your works. And I will consider making the Eva 01, it's difficult to make the head. ^Blub^

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! an improved variant of my favorite among your Gundams. can't get much better than that. :P well, I love it. my natural Mech-coloring senses are saying that the color schemes aren't wonderful, but that's probably because they're all based on "practical" bland grey Western color schemes and have little room for teal or pink camo. :P
Thanks! This isn't an improvement, more like a new unit based on the Werewolf, with less armor and no ranged weapons. It's part of a 5 unit team that I'm putting together, and out of the five, three is now completed(along with this, there's the Valor's Edge which will get an upgrade, and the Werewolf that'll also get a minor cosmetic upgrade). About the colors...well I like when a mech is colorful, it's for entertainment but when it comes down to customized units, they look more intimidating with the unique paintjobs. Of course, sometimes the "normal" military color scheme works better.
