Another set 5867 Buggy alternative, but this time the more obvious version. This is my 16th alternate from Super Speedster.
About this creation
Well, what to say about this one... A dune buggy was another type of model from set 5867 that I had already a while on my to do list. A few trials were done before, but never satisfying. Because I'm really running out of options for other alternatives, the moment was there to build one. Remarkably it took just one evening this time to make this quick build.
The rear spoiler is probably the most distinctive feature.
The front has some detailing too, like headlights, and springs for the suspension.
There is a 4-cylinder engine right above the rear axle.
Big spotlights are on the roof for optimal visibility during nighttime.
This sideprofile shows nicely the framework around the cockpit and the rear axle under an angle.
Interestingly the bottom is built upside down again. Yes, it's crazy.
The biggest question is now what other types of automobiles can be built with this set that I haven't done yet...
So far we have had: truck, classic, F1, Jeep, rod, racer, LMP, Unimog, GT, pickup, musclecar, kart, and buggy.
it's brilliant. It has no smell of the fact that s an alternate because there are no signs of compromises made due to limited part amount. instead of that all detail is done accurate and I would even say in a very awesome way. so awesome that for example if I would be at a store and would have to pick one of 5763 or this, i would pick this ;)
