M16 MGMC - M3 based Multiple Gun Motor Carriage equipped with the Maxson M45 Quadmount with 4 M2HB machine guns (5,000 rounds).
About this creation
The M16 MGMC Halftrack, was an anti-aircraft variant of the ubiquitous M3 Halftrack which saw extensive service with the US military during WWII and Korea and other Allied nations.
The M16 mounted four Browning M2 .50 machine guns in the rear of the halftrack. Each gun was linked to a 1,250 round "tombstone" magazine.
As German and Japanese aircraft became less and less common in the skies, the M16 found an improvised role as an anti-personnel vehicle. The .50cal rounds could shred most cover and any enemy to pieces within seconds.
The M45 Quadmount was affectionately known as the "Krautmower" and "Meat Chopper" due to its ability to turn enemies into red mist.
