Great collection, Chief! Everybody has their own system. Hopefully your mom can be convinced at what a great hobby Lego can be. There are a lot of people on this site with advanced degrees; engineers, physicians, architects, you name it! Plus, you're already pretty invested, from the looks of your stash!
Quite a bit of money went into to my "collection". It all started with the Ferrari Pit Stop Racers set..... |

This is very cool... always good to check out the competition! Hee, hee! I kidda know what you mean about mom's wanting sets kept together. I'm a Mom, but it's my younger daughter who wants her sets kept together, she's always worried I'll steal some of her parts. (And, I have... shhhh...don't tell her!) :) |

Great collection. As De Tomaso says, try and educate your Mom to foster your creativity by bunging it all in a large pile so you can build something big (you can always use Bricklink inventories to sort them back later). Failing that, grab a favourite set and build alternatives with it. Whatever you do, have fun!
Sweet idea!!! Thanks!! Also, my mom doesn't quite approve of this hobby.... so I will have an early dark age. That will last forever. :( |

Cool collection! You have some nice sets! You need to educate your Mum that Lego is for reusing after you've built the set. How are you supposed to be more creative if all your Lego is tied up in sets? You could build something incredible with all that Lego. But if she really means you must keep them together then, you had better do as she says as Mum is the Boss ;-) In regards to Jess the CatCar, I don't make instructions i'm affraid but you are welcome to try and recreate anything I build, I'm glad it gives people inspiration. I'd like to see you break up a few of those sets and build a large project. You can always ask me if you need any ideas. This is how you'll get more popular as a builder. Larger models that take time and effort to build :-) Now less chat and more dismantleing/building!
Good advice, and thank you. |

Wow. A very impressive collection from lots of different themes. It looks like you don't mix your Lego. I keep some of my technic sets separate (and a few racer sets) but most go into my divider boxes for mocing.
Ah, yes. My mom says "Keep your best sets together, or I will not buy you another set ever!" So I keep them together for two years or so, then they end up in a giant bin. |
