APMS-1::All Purpose Mechanical Soldier
Xenocron Technologies: We build the best, because we can. And we certainly hope you'll agree that this, the All Purpose Mechanical Soldier, is one of the best mechs XT have ever put out!

Shown above is the technique used to create the torso of the APMS-1. Our XT engineers have been formulating this new technique for quite some time now, but only now has it become a usable reality.

The APMS-1 features a brand new type of systeming AI that implements a new use for combat modules that XT has been developing for years. The system introduces the use of modifiable modules that can be either added manually or uploaded to the IUAI-050 base.

Also included in the new AI is vastly improved targeting. Because of the livestreaming capabilities of the 18 megapixel camera, commanders watching the footage in bunkers can advise a unit about which target to fix on to, giving an edge to the purely mechanical thinking of the mech.

My Notes: Well, I finally dragged myself away from Minecraft to upload this. I'll be releasing the first variant fairly soon, and from there I'll probably upload one or two a week, depending on what I end up doing with Minecraft. On the subject of this actual build, this has probably been the most fun I've had while building a mech in a long time. Time consuming, yes, but still very fun. I hope you enjoy, and as always, please rate and comment! Extra Note: THIS IS NOT MY CONTEST ENTRY! The next variant I upload will be my entry.

I like this. I find the head very interesting. I appreciate that you corrected the functionality, but what has me inerested, is that it is very similar to a design of my own. I mannaged to make the kneck connection narrower -thus better preserving the aesthetics of the armor- at the expense of the classic eye design. However, i think that only makes my design unique-er than yours.

Quoting Thomas Z. I like this design, the shoulders came out pretty well! Tough the head looks a bit big compared to the rest of the body, and it if you look at it from the side, you can see that the head and the chest sticks out too much. I usually try to make the heads of my design to be in line with the shoulders. Otherwise it's a cool frame! Nice work. (And thanks for the credits :P)
It's probably just a difference in personal preference between us. My heads tend to be quite large, in fact I've used a similarly sized head on a MUCH smaller frame (look up bioengineerer9179 on the DbM gallery for proof). And thanks, glad you like it.

Quoting andros tempest I'm going with Andrew on this one, it's ok but pretty much just a taller version of other mech you've done before. I'm not feeling much ingenuity.
If you take a look at the LXF, you'll notice I've nearly completely redesigned the chest, and that it is quite a bit different than previous models. Maybe I'm sounding like Forte when I say this, but it really is different, but it could just be my style that looks all the same to you.

Now we see the new mini-mech Awesomeness. Looks great as a basic design, and I can't wait to see what variants you have up your sleeve. I bet it's Aces. ^Blub^

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! ah, nice, Bio! yet another outstanding mini-Mech design. I do spot a decent number of small flaws, but most of those are relative to the individual's personal style. would you mind if I did my own version of it? (hey, I asked permission this time! aren't you proud of me? :P) well, you managed to make your Mech on time. that was our last hope of standing a chance in the contest. :P
Actually, please refrain from making a custome version, at least until I've released all the variants. Just a personal preferance, you understand. And as I stated in the ending notes, this isn't my entry.

Woah. Definitely your best mech yet. The double jointed torso is awesome. And it's got vertical shoulders too. Just epic.

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free Hmmmm, it may be due to the fact that this is the Base Frame, but I'm not feeling the Design quite yet, not sure why. Maybe some of the variants will strike me more. Oh, since you did mention that that the shoulders are inspired by the Viper, it would feel right to credit Thomas in some way.
Ah yes, that completely slipped my mind. And don't worry, the variants will add quite a bit more depth to the frame. :)
