LEGO is rectangular; so why not make something that's rectangular as well?
About this creation
I had this idea in my head that I would build three intersecting rectangles that were of different colors. As I was done building the intersection of the three rectangles, I came across Bartosz Kurek's "Three Boxes" and was shocked that he had already created something so similar to my idea. However, since my idea was not a replication of his work and was in no way influenced by his sculpture, I continued. I completed the back of the rectangles and found that I liked how the unfinished fronts of those rectangles looked, so I left them how they were.
