Bag End was inspired by a trip to the Hobbiton set near Mata Mata in the North Island of New Zealand. It is my first landscaped diorama. It is set in Chapter One of the Hobbit: An Unexpected Party. in which Gandalf arrives with a collection of Dwarfs. Only 5 fitted in here (consistent with the 5 in the Dwarf Battle Pack!)
Smaug;s Lair was created by my son harry (10.5 at the time) for display at Brickvention 2011, Australia's Premier Lego Show
About this creation
Next time, I probably don't need to furnish it!
These pictures have lighting effects courtesy of a sunbeam tracking across the floor of the Melbourne Town Hall...
Smaug received the same treatment, and used all my yellow bricks(as well as my series 1 zombie)!
And on to Rivendell, now in easy to access large images.
Bilbo relaxes, allowing a new generation to proceed with the terrible questing.
The Fellowship of the Ring.
Presenting the ring, a heavily modified gold round plate. (Thank to mr Bosch for this bit!)
Elrond (with his ears covered!) and some other sundry elves.
Why you don't give a pneumatic drill to a dwarf...
