I wanted to build a small city car with sliding doors as an alternative, but could not create anything special. My main problem was to add character to it - so at the end I fed up and quickly built this overcharactized, funny car influenced by the Cars animated movies and all the cubans out there (I love their teeth).
About this creation
It was great fun, as someone was smiling at me all the time while I worked on him:
My wife calls him Misi: he is a wannabe boyracer from a little village, who trains himself in the backyard and dreams of being a challenger on the next Piston Cup.
The model itself is a mid-engined car, with the trunk at the front. The trunk - which forms the nose and the mouth of the character and hides a little tounge - and the doors can be opened. I deliberately missed some details (like rearview mirros) to keep the look as clean as possible.
He has two comfy seats with headprotection and a simple cockpit:
The V6 engine and the air intakes:
On the side, top and back views you can see the huge spoiler (which is needed to offset the heavy nose) and the boat-shaped chassis. I also tried to create a nice color scheme with a red base and black racing stripes: in fact, these give half of the performance of a boyracer car. :)
Hi Andras. I absolutely love this 'Carban' ;). He is full of character and fun. In the UK we call the stripes - 'Go Faster Stripes' as they do certainly improve performance ;). the engine is great too.
