The final Toa Rela, Toa of Air, it's Reythe, Wind of the Hive! (Yes, I've finally uploaded him!) Enjoy the MOC! :D
About this creation
Name: Reythe
Gender: Male
Element: Air
Species: Matoran
Race: Le-Toa
Occupation: Toa Rela, Protector of Rela Nui
Titles: the Wind of the Hive, 'Ka-Le'
Primary Mask: Kanohi Dralear, Mask of Insect Control- allows the user to influence the thoughts of insect-like Rahi in the vicinity.
Toa Tool: Hexith Blades (arm-mounted)
Weapons: Insects (using Kanohi power)
Alignment: Chaotic good
Affiliation: Toa Rela
Personality: Reythe is always energetic, although unlike most Le-Matoran, he is often cautious. Niarr and Reythe are best friends and are nearly inseparable, so Reythe always watches out for the duo. Due to formerly being an entomologist (among other sciences), Reythe is very knowledgeable in many fields.
Bio: Reythe was an average merchant in Le-Rela. However, he had a side job, working as a scientist, studying the many wild insects that lived nearby. He was even able to train insects to deliver messages for him! Once while traveling from Le-Rela to Onu-Rela on business, Reythe met Niarr, and the two became friends. While camping in a cave during a journey, Reythe found (and was transforemd by) a Toa Stone! Sice they were such good friends, Niarr and Reythe later joined the Toa Rela together. This team stayed on Rela Nui for a time, in order to defend the villages from the threat of the Makuta-kara and their demonic creations. Soon after the Makuta-kara's defeat, Reythe and the rest of the Toa Rela began a journey across much of the known universe, in search of the Lost Being known only in legend as Un'duul. They defeated some of the worst Makuta ever known; destroyed insurgent Visorak hordes; and ended a plague that had fallen upon Spherus Magna. These and many more were the tasks of the Toa Rela; and all of these tasks they carried out, until finally they were, quite literally, all lost to history.
(All will be revealed in the story I'm working on!)

It's Reythe! Yes!
(Finally!)

Despite his weird designs, he's a posing machine. :P

Hexith Blades back ...

... and forward.

Epic shot. :D

Overview.

Arm. Yes, I gave him a Mata hand design. Why? No idea. :P

The other shoulder has different armor. I really like asymmetrical armor. :P

Head. A special version of my custom head, designed to hold the inverted Adaptive Miru Nuva.

The head design. Normal masks can attach, too. Sadly, Glatorian or HF helmets don't.

Body. Yeah, he's got a heartlight. :D

Back. Yay, feet! And spikes. Lots of Phantoka pieces were used on this guy.

Waist and legs. The legs are weird, but they look good and work well.

Back of legs. As with many of my MOCs, the armor is integrated into the design, not just stuck on the front.

Feet, with chain greebles. These are so weird! :P
But I used the new friction joint pieces. They work really well, and hold Reythe up successfully.

Alternate Mask Gallery:

With Reapa's mask, or the Kanohi Chazaa, Mask of Acidity, which allows the user to corrode nearby objects.

With Tanma's mask, or the Kanohi Kohto, Mask of Division, which allows the user to divide themselves into infinite copies, but the more copies, the weaker each copy is.

With Huna.

With Kanohi Miru (Adaptive Nuva form).

No duo shots this time. Instead...

All of the Toa Rela!
In addition to Reythe, the Wind of the Hive:
Pirai, the Iron Wolf!
Anessiss, the Bright Spark!
Peoros, the Frozen Arrow!
Avillo, the Veteran Force!
Dahilan, the Steadfast Boulder!
Niarr, the Burning Wanderer!
Nikeri, Warrior of the Psyche!

The last one was the more dramatic shot, but this does a better job of showing all of the Toa Rela.

Aah, glad to finally have him posted.
Thank you for viewing Reythe!
Next up: Contest entries, some old System MOCs
More MOCs to come soon, that's it for now!

ALL the Toa Rela! Anyway, a cautious Le-Matoran? Made me do a double take, but I like surprises, and I also liked that you've actually come up with mask powers for Solek, Tanma and Photok (probably going to use those ideas, if you don't mind). Oh, and of course the build itself was good work as always, albeit not my favorite of the group.

Quoting ShadowBunny 13 (just so you'll remember who I am) Although this is a great MOC, the only reason I'm here is because i was looking through some of my favorite builders' MOCs and saw this. It depresses me because it looks just like my self MOC, Carnox. Including the inverted Miru nuva and the hexagonal shield lazer blade things and now I know my Moc is not so unique :(
Whoa man, don't get all down about it. Even though there are those two similarities, the MOCs are otherwise nothing alike. Reythe is pretty simple in design and skinny as a twig, while Carnox is complex and bulky. That's the main aesthetic difference, but if that isn't enough then I can find more. Besides, I built this guy way back when in January. Since then, I've improved a lot, and so have you, it seems- the new Carnox is a significantly better MOC than Reythe was.

Quoting Zenix The Chaos Gaurdian Although this is a great MOC, the only reason I'm here is because i was looking through some of my favorite builders' MOCs and saw this. It depresses me because it looks just like my secondary self MOC, Carnox. Including the inverted Miru nuva and the hexagonal shield lazer blade things and now I know my Moc is not so unique :(
Well, maybe if you posted Carnox, I could take a look at him and point out some key differences to you. Believe me, while there's always a MOC that is somehow similar to yours, no two MOCs are ever the same. I'm sure Carnox is plenty unique anyway, LOL. And besides, it's not like Carnox was built to copy Reythe or vice versa, because this is the first that either of us has heard of the other MOC. XD

Quoting Steve The Squid I see you've been having plenty of fun with new hf! I see some great ideas here, but to me it all comes together as a bit clunky, and not too well shaped. Plus, the head clashes with the rest of the moc. Ideas: good. But it could certainly use some work.
Thanks for the CC, Steve. :) He is a bit awkward IRL, as he is in pictures. I think the head goes well with the rest of him, but that's just my view.

Quoting L.A. Miranda He has an strange but interesting desing. The head (mask included) and feet were my favourite parts, although all the MOC is pretty good (As a curiosity, I have used Toa Metru head as feet on a MOC too. I though I was the only one with that idea D= ). Brilliant!
Thanks! I was going for strangeness here. :D

Quoting Kyle Peckham One of your best besides Pirai! I really like the "ninja-ish" feel of him, it rather suits his less bulky figure. The feet are very innovative, and may I ask what set those friction joints came in? The custom head is wonderful, but my only complaint would have to be the lack of a "wind" feel to him. Maybe if he had more upper arm armor that might solve the problem. and it might look better. :) The use of the ROcka 4.0 shields is very nice! Overall a great effort! - KP
Thanks Kyle! The 'wind' in his title is just because he is a Toa of air.

Quoting Glacies The Iceman
Thanks man! I tried the visor, but it looked odd, and didn't fit too well. I was running out of parts by the lower arms, and I thought they were okay as is. Claws are a good idea. Anyway, thanks for the in-depth review! :D

  January 24, 2012
I really like this guy. His legs look great, and his torso is awesome. The head fits well, though maybe you could add the visor to make it even more insect-like. The upper arms are great, but the lower arms are definitely lacking. They down't really fit with the MOC and they ruin the insectoid feel it has. Perhaps some clawed hands as a replacement for the hands, and a better pair of lower arms. Otherwise, it's a really good MOC, amazing job :DDDDD
