Rimasuchus
About this creation
The Rimasuchus is the product of a joint effort between clan Coyote and Clan Sea fox. Although it is roughly the size of a Union class dropship, any similarities end there. Originally conceived as a vessel to harass smaller jump ships and larger dropships, the Rimasuchus is capable of giving even a 90,000 ton destroyer a run for its money. It is the smallest vessel to be equipped with a jump drive to date which allows it to escape the destruction that any dropship attacking a jumpship or warship would normally face . In combat it is often underestimated due to its small size. The vessel was named after an extinct species of crocodile. During field trials, the commanders testing this craft had a tendency to use a “death roll” tactic much like the alligator and crocodile species of Terra. Due to the size of the jump drive and amount of weaponry, the Rimasuchus lacks much in the way of cargo capacity. In addition, the control systems are highly automated to cut down on weight and crew complement. Unable to carry full sized mechs due to weight allowances, this vessel has been equipped to carry up to eight protomechs in specially designed cradles in the main cargo hold.

Quoting Jared . Wow... just... wow.... that mech suit inside the ship too...
Thanks, brother! I put a lot of effort into this build. This actually won the best spacecraft award at Brickworld 2011. If you want a better look at the proto mechs, check out my flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12318190@N08/sets

Quoting Tim C Awesome work. Great coloring and greebling, though I wish I could see some more detailed pics of the minifigs in the battle suits. Those look amazing.
I'm glad you liked it! This beasty took me about 80 hours of work over the course of a year. I tried very hard to balance the coloring.I hate regular red, but unfortunately I have a lot of it. As far as the mechs go, the pilots aren't really all that special. A few of them had Gen 1 Blacktron Pilots and the ranger used a heavily modified Hoth rebel trooper. I believe there may have been an A wing pilot in the green onranguatan. I usually try to match the pilot's jumpsuit with the color of the mech.

Quoting Pat Sams Wow, BIG! Even has deployable mecha and a full interior. Scary looking thing this is, certainly wouldn't want it lowering into orbit on my planet O_O I expect you to earn a lot of followers, Jon. How long have been saving all these?
I came out of my Lego dark ages in 1999, lurked around on Lugnet for 5 years before I posted anything. I've been building Mechs since 1991, but didn't really start taking pictures until about 2003
