This, my fellow crack brick addicts, is Andora's latest tank, the M4-D9 Tyr Main Battle Tank. It was built with being a multirole indestructible leviathan in mind, and it is damn good at its job. With over 2 dozen counter measures and defense systems its nearly invincible, it has to be to compete with the more agile hover tanks of the day. Weighing just shy of 93 tons, the massive steel leviathan need the extra umph of a huge engine to get it going, and what an engine it is, its top speed is neigh of 90 miles per hour, an insurmountable feat for any tracked vehicle as heavy as a tank, and it has a huge 32 cylinder gas turbine reciprocating engine producing over 6,200 horsepower to thank. The tank fits a total of 3 people, the navigator, the commander and the gunner, although the gunner is not a mandatory position, most tanks have one anyway.
The front of the tank is the most armored as it will be under the most fire. This think can take an AT missile right to the front of the turret at keep on going like nothing happened. The only thing proven to kill this beast completely in testing was a Hellscreamer missile shot from a UAV. Even its treads are reinforced to prevent one going out of alignment if struck with an explosive.
The side skirts aren't the most reinforced part of the tank, but will deflect most light missiles.
Three of the countermeasures that are directly visible on the turret are the TPERS, which works a lot like Israels current day Iron Fist countermeasure, The classic multidirectional flare launchers and a smoke screen generator capable of covering a battlefield in less that 10 minutes, it even interferes with enemy radar. The only downside to the smoke screen generator is that it needs its own angine and its own fuel. After the engineering team had given it some major thought, they decided the best place to put it was at the back of the turret, making it a little longer than normal, but making it look even more menacing.
The tank has two independent antennas so the occupants can triangulate another radio frequency without a third point, because the second antenna acts as the third point. Plus, if one antenna goes out of commission somehow (blown off, shot off, broken) they can still call out and receive information with the other one. It also carries 12 extra track links just in case one becomes irreparably damaged they can switch it out. Theres also a shovel on the back, for whatever reason you would need one, there you go.
I had a lot of trouble finding the right shape for the front of the tank, but after a while I think I got it, after the 6th try lol...
The M4-D9's main armament is its massive 153 mm cannon, which can shoot a round every 2.7 seconds thanks to a new revolutionary automatic loading system. The barrel used to be one link tube thingy longer, but it was too long so I took it out. It still is a little bit too long, but it looks Really good so I left it like that.
On the rear of the tank it has two exterior gas tanks as reserves just in case it runs out during an operation. I would have also put on a license plate, but that joke was getting a little old so I decided against it.
Here you see the interior, not too comfortable, but then again, what tank is? The tank navigator will sit up in front here to drive it. The controls used to be facing the other way but there is somthing about driving backwards that more than a little nauseating, even if you can't see outside...
The tank commander will sit back here on the other side of the tank, he is also the radioman.
A somewhat pointless shot showing you how the turret and base are connected, I got that piece from a Star Wars set.
Well thats it for now man, more that I usually type for a MOC, but I had a lot to say this time around.

Awesome!! Very thorough piece of engineering, i like that turret very much :-) Thanks for the invite to your group. I am sorry but i will have to decline, as i would be a poor group member considering the level of attention your game deserves. Very nice concept though!
I am mostly into WW2 tanks (they have very small turrets) so yours looks huge (in a good and scary way!) I like the tread design. :D If you check out my tanks youd see what I mean about the small turrets. And now I am about to add you as a fav...
