Hadhafang (Arwen's Sword)
About this creation
"What's this? A Ranger, caught off his guard? "-Arwen-

Hadhafang (Throng Cleaver) is Arwen's sword. 1:1 scale.

  • Overall length: 38in (97cm)

  • Blade length: 30in (76cm)

Info here

This is my absolute favorite sword of lotr, I love the blade curve, and had a hard time doing it justice in lego. I also like the curved handle.

I also had a hard time with the pommel. It is supposed to be rounder and more curved. This sword was a very challenging sword to make. Also this is the last lotr replica I will be making for a while. (I have another project going)

Wow! This has got an INCREDIBLE amount of detail. This is my favorite sword in the movies, and I think you did it justice.

Quoting Joost Cumps At second look : the handle is a masterpiece! From four to five stars! Funny is, indeed there are no curved bricks that you could have used, but now you didn't use them either :-) I was more talking about use of parts as in the VW mosaic from Ryan Link. If one (Ryan isn't just anyone, I know) can make a circle like that, the curve might be possible just using one directional build. Anyway, please delete these reactions, if you want, because now my suggestions are really to the point and maybe not that suitable for everybodies' eyes.
No, I'll leave them. :) thanks for the comments, and advice! As I do not like the gaps in the blade, I will attempt a single direction build with a totally revamped blade. Thanks again!

Quoting Joost Cumps Hi, I love the looks of this sword, but I don't totally agree that you made a "two-piece". On that scale it must be possible to obtain the curve without the "break". Anyway, it has, as all your swords, some very nice details, so I rate it very good
The "two-piece" doesn't look the best, but I looked at all the curved pieces, and the angle pieces, and I couldn't find a combination that gave it the right curve.
