My entry for the 2012 Moccer Paired Contest. Topic: Episode 1. Category: Vehicles. I know the color isn't quite right, so I spent most of my time getting the shape of the body proportionate. My partner is Commander Hawk. Let's check out the moc.

My partner Commander Hawk .
The Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I (also known as the Vulture-class droid starfighter or simply as the Vulture droid) was a droid starfighter used by the Trade Federation. Later, in much greater numbers, it was utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It participated heavily in the Clone Wars, at engagements such as the Battle of Kamino and Coruscant.

I didn't have enough tan and brown to build it to Episode 1 colors, but I feel like I did good.

I do have small claws on it, and the printed piece was added for detail (what a shame that I don't own 2 more!).

I decided to make a small dio with the Vulture in it. Here, 3 Naboo Royal Security guards attempt to ambush 4 droids and the Vulture who are taking prisoners.

This picture was taken without my normal setup. I was experimenting with lighting and adjustments on my computer.
This was a great build for me. Getting the shape of everything was easy, but connecting it was tough. Luckily, my design held up for the pictures, only to fall apart when I picked it up. I think I did great!

This is not bad. The whole thing is nicely detailed, but the legs seem a bit short and the body seems a bit long. This is definitely not a bad creation though. |
