1980s Plymouth Gran Fury Police car for minifigs.
About this creation
Hello everyone, here is my latest offering. This is an American style police car based on a 1980s Plymouth Gran Fury.
I've always had a soft spot for this car even though it's looks are fairly square and uninspiring, but this is what I have always visualised as the classic American police car (probably down to watching films like Police Academy and run of the mill 80s action films).
My Lego version is 8 wide with a 7 wide roof. It has 4 opening doors, an opening boot/trunk and can seat 4 minifigs. The badge on the side is one that I made up and doesn't represent any real life police department.
This car goes very well with my Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino, infact both cars are built on very similar chassis designs. It's just a shame that both cars are from different eras. Starsky and Hutch finished in 1979 so the Gran Fury would never had featured in the show.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking at this and please feel free to comment and rate.

Great build, but what really caught my eye was the windshield. I've never seen that before. AWESOME, I may have to use that technique someday. 5/5, Chris

I like it very much! It's good, that there is enough place for the bad man too. And I like this style. These cars are indestructible. Keep up the good work.

Wow, that's cool. Very well shaped and minifig compatible! With a few modifications it could be the Bluesmobile, too. Great job! :-))

Big like! Of course I am fond of cop cars with opening doors ;-) But I never managed to include 4 doors like you did before with your 5 wide police car. I love the way you combine 7 and 8 wide parts here. The overall shape is very stylish. Thanks for sharing!

Looks Excellent and fun to play with. I really like how the roof is 7 wide. Windscreen looks great. Always difficult to include 4 opening doors at this scale.
