Here is my creation for Dan the Man's 7th Car Contest: German Cars. I made a little Volkswagen because nothing is more German than a Volkswagen. It was introduced in 1974 as a replacement for the Beetle. I made this also because a friend of mine said: "You are going to build a Golf, right?" So I began making one. It took me sometime to get this as perfect as possible. I am really happy with the result. I may not get a price, but I'm really enjoyed making it, I also had fun during this project. And actually that is it: you need to have fun when you're building with LEGO. And now the rest of the car.
About this creation

Here you have front of my little Volkswagen. You see it has an antenna and mirrors.

The right side. I see how similar it is with the real one. Do you see it too?

The back of my car. I think I did a good job although it could be better.

This is the undercarriage. This can also be improved. When I have alot of time and alot of enthusiasm I will make one that is twice the size of this one. Then I can put in more details like working steering, better chassis and many more.

The trunk, complete with shelf to cover the top.

My interior with folding front seats, a handbrake/ parking brake (I don't know how you guys call it...), gear stick, steering wheel and a copy of the dash, as close as I could make it.

The rear seat.

My masterpiece I think, and of course the engine is the heart of every car. 'Cause I didn't find a picture of the engine on the web, I created one that looks like the real one I think. I really suck at making engines so...

The doors open, just like in real life.

This is how the pedals look like.

Finally, you made it. You came at the last pic. The only thing that is left to do is to rate and comment :) Thanks for reading!

Lovely, the side and rear look spot on, on the front you have the problem there is no right sized part for the headlights. BUT, the best is the engine, I really like the looks. Keep on moccing, and thanks for the comment you gave on my latest moc !(maybe I will add a windshield, if I manage to design one) |

Quoting MortalSwordsman .
Excellent, especially at this scale. The front looks great but the back is my favourite bit. I found the back the hardest to build on my version. The interior and engine are also very good.
Indeed, the back is a hard part to do. |
