MOC Speed Contest Round 2: Theme Mix-Up
"You are under arrest, my lord."
About this creation

Notes: This is, if you can't tell, a cross of Star Wars and Castle, recreating the scene in which Mace Windu attempts to arrest Palpatine in the castle theme. It was more or less an exercise in forced perspective. One thing that isn't obvious is that the top of the window is actually slanted to exaggerate the height differential between the knight and the troll, giving the scene a slightly more human sense of proportion.

The microscale is great, the scene does look a lot like the one in starwars but I probably wouldn't have noticed that if you didn't mention :S Great job anyway

I personally don't see the theme match up too well, but I love the forced perspective. The microscale in the background is fantastic!

This is very nicely done! I love how you captured the scene in the movie, yet in castle :D

Very impressive microscale. It really looks to be far below the window, which really impressed me.

Interpretation of Category: 5/5 Photography/Set-up: 4/5 Quality of Build: 4/5 My Personal Rating: 5/5 Bonus Points: 5/5 Total: 23/25 Brilliant work, this fits its category very nicely. The forced-perspective is also impressive.

great use of forced perspective!

Yeah, right, because such a scene only appears in Star Wars. Yes.

OK.... A lovely use of forced perspective! A very nice mash up and a solid build. A few more Star Wars-y elements would have bumped up your score, but I'm still awarding you 16 + 5 = 21. Thank you.

Very nice work, great forced perspective. I'm not sure on those angled slopes in the window, though. :P

Connor, this is great! I love Star Wars, so I recognized the scene and quote immediately. But what really caught my eye was the microscale background through the window. That really makes this build amazing!

Clever... nice job! Its hard to find something wrong with this, the clever photo shot makes up for the lack of a complicated build. 17 points + 5 bonus points = 22 points overall!

Nice! This is going to be hard to compete against

Quoting Mihai Marius Mihu Very well done and it works really well. Is that distant background a printed paper or just some photo manipulation?
It's actually just a micro-scale town, carefully photographed. Thanks for the comment!
