I ordered some bricks off of Pick-a-brick about two weeks ago and made this but I did not have the time to post it until now and then the Mecha Contests started up and it seemed like the perfect time. Anyway on to the mech.
EDIT: The LDD file is now up.

Although it's good, it could use some work. I think it would have been better to go with LDD so you could colour and armour it better. I'm not giving extra marks for ABS though, because it doesn't take any more skill to build with plastic than with pixels, just more money/LEGO. 3/5 |

this is very cool and it definitely has its own style. the weapon design was very cool. But I think the joints could've been better, so 4/5. |

Well, I'll start with the score: 3/5. Using real bricks is definitely a plus, but I feel like this could be a lot more well-rounded out in LDD. There are a lot of parts popping out across the whole mech that, while they may be necessary, don't enhance the look very much. Still, you get 3/5 for real bricks and nice weaponry. :) |

I'll give this a 3/5, the gun is amazing! I don't have an issue with the colors, some like it colorful some like it plain, but let's face it, would a real pilot risk being spotted in a huge pink Mecha on a snowy plain? XD And it's made from REAL BRICKS, so that's a plus for me. But my problem is that, no matter how I look at it, I can only see a "droid" or a drone or like a Bayformer(G1 for life)and not a Mecha...tough it can still be something of alien origin...and does the two pneumatic hammer on the shoulders have a practical use? |

as promised the score.
Like I said, it's a nice design for the scale, I have to give props for using actual bricks, but feel the design isn't particularly ambitious, presentation slightly lacking and the colours aren't very exciting. 3/5, good but could have been much better. |

I like. I really like! Reminds me of the old X-Pod bots. There are a few faults, such as the rather flat legs, but that aside, its an excellent mech! 4/5! |

My collection isn't too small either but I have got about seven t-pieces. I really need to get some brink-link. I'll do the scoring soon. |
|
|
lol, I understand that. :P I have a large collection too, but unless I was building it mostly out of 2x4 bricks I doubt I could ever pull off a Mech. your two Mechs right there probably have more pieces needed for making Mechs than my entire collection. :P anyway, great work, especially with such limited pieces. |

Quoting ariklego ...The Director!
looks nice! it looks a bit more like the original XT designs than I'd like, and the arms could use some work on poseability, but otherwise it's great. the gun is nothing short of incredible, probably my favorite part. what I'd give for my younger brother (who I think is about your age) to be able to build like you...
I guess it could use a little work but when you are building with real Legos it's harder to get the pieces you need in the right color. I have about 15 to 20
thousand real Legos to build with, but I don't have enough of the right kind. |

I'll add my score once you've added the links for the other contestants, but in the meantime here's a quicky review:
A couple of the shots are out of focus, so while I really like the design and build, I feel presentation could use some work. Description is fine and I lurve those weapons, I really did fumble the ball in this contest compared to you guys on weapons :|
Colours aren't that ambitious, but they are consistent and appropriate for the concept (plus you made it from actual bricks, kudos on the actual bricks!).
Like I said, scores to follow once you've added the links. (remind me I might forget)
Oh sorry. EDIT: I put the names at the bottom. |
