Command vehicles are the backbone of every fire department, as they provide a way to control the situation and to manage the ground unit's on scene. This is a 2007 Ford Explorer SUV command unit that is in the MCFD fleet.
This vehicle is designed as a mobile command post and for fire investigation support. It is assigned to the Deputy Cheif, and in his absence, the next ranking officer. It is the departments fire dedicated command vehicles, and it is equiped with command and com equipment, a Whelen Liberty lightbar, and a PA300 siren.
