The crown appeared in some Belville sets. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x250 I had to slightly modify it to fit on the microfig (by trimming the center stem).

A compact board for shorter games and plenty of scope for story. Not an easy combination to achieve but I can envisage lots of playable scenarios with this kind of mixed terrain. Well built.

Nice to finally see The Princess showing op in a Heroica build! I've been thinking about using her in a game since the day I got Lego Champion. I added her to a (expanded) game of Fortaan, she was locked in the dungeon and the player that rescued her could use her as an additional pawn, with only 3 hit points and now special ability. Like your board!

Yes, I had to try several 1x1 round plates until I found ones that would come off the game tiles before they came off the animal. It can help if you put a thin piece of tape across the 1x1 stud, so it fits more tightly into the model. Cylinders would work better, but the steed ends up looking like it is flying.

Very nice steeds. I especially like the hero ones (bird was interesting one!). Do they come off the tiles easily or does that round 1x1 plate stick? The SW's Hoth game looks like theirs are on cylinders, like the bats in the cave map, so didn't know if that was a problem.
