Honestly said, this isn't exactly the original MAZ-543 transporter erector launcher (TEL) and it was never meant to be one. Let's say that LEGO Imperial Army (or whatever...) failed to get the license for production, and then tried to copy it- apparently the bureau had a very young and inexperienced designer...



Ok, let's go on with the story. Vladimir and Kolja were considered to be the best test drivers and off they went. Unfortunately also almost off the cliff...



…they left the truck with a map in their hands, with a lively company watching them. To be precise, 'lively' does not necessarily include 'alive' as you can see.




Situation looked quite dire. Vladimir and Kolja were lost, environment was hostile, bottles of vodka were miles away in the base, and they ran out of (other) fuel too…



…radio was down and because signal rocket were missing too, our guys had to come up with a brilliant idea- it wasn’t exactly a signal rocket, but it helped them get noticed…




…so that later on, they could give us some ‘studio’ shots too.
