After the War of the Lance, with the dragon armies reeling and Takhisis' hold upon the world tenuous at best, the rise of the Knights of Takhisis took place. Based upon the strict order of the Solamnic Knights, but tempered with a focus to the tenets of the Dark Queen Takhisis, a new force arose in Ansalon. Realizing the downfall of the dragon armies were due in large part to the lack of organization, and the fact that they had no loyalty to one another, the Knights of Takhisis represent a new a force of evil in the world. Loyal to one another and the Vision, these Knights seek to reign supreme and bring Takhisis back to the world. As they sought to take a stranglehold on the major cities of Krynn and create trade routes that they could exploit, they built fortresses on small islands in the Turbidus Ocean. Some of these fortresses were training and breeding grounds for the Red and Blue dragons that served as mounts for the Knights. Others were stopping points to feed and rest on the long secretive journeys during the Rise of the Knights of Takhisis....

Very nice. I like all of it. The water is nothing new, but it is excecuted well here. the tower looks simple, but I'm assuming that was intentional. The dragon is really nice. The only thing I dislike is that distinguishable eyes would be good, but that is a minor aesthetics thing(I made a pun, aesthetics are a preferred apearance or overall thing, and the names of the group in Astinus' Library in Palanthas) |

Yes! This is excellent. The overall scene is a great composition of elements, that dragon is of course what I saw the most, but the rest of this build has more great details to admire. Mixing the opaque and transparent for water has worked very nicely here. ~Thoy |

Pretty cool dragon! I like the ocean in the landscape. The minifig parts on the dragon's head look very good! I am glad you have joined our group! If you can build stuff like this, I hope you will make more dragons! |

Nice tower, great landscaping and what a dragon for your first go! I've recently started experimenting with dragons - nothing finished yet - and yours leaves my attempts way behind. Cool theme too - I'm amazed there aren't more Dragonlance MOCs around. |

Quoting Tyler Halliwell
This is great! I love Dragonlance, but I rarely see any Lego creations from that series. This was a nice surprise today. I would love to see more in this style from you.
Thanks Tyler, I agree that there is a surprising lack of Dragonlance on the site...I do have a few more ideas that I am planning to explore this year. |

Quoting the Invisible Mime
Nice build, I think the landscape could be built up more, and the dragon looks kinda skinny, but It's impressive that the dragon can move that much. Interestingly, I was just reading some of R. D. Henham's books...
I was thinking he's a bit skinny as well....but I just couldn't get the movement I wanted when I bulked him up. It was really fun to build, so I will definitely do some more dragons. Hopefully i can find that happy medium of articulation and size that fits right! |
