The HMBT-300 Behemoth is the Conglomerate's most advanced tank yet, and one of the best tanks in the World. It is a joint project between the Conglomerate and Tongaria.
About this creation

The Conglomerate has recently been wanting a new tank, one that could take on any PAXIS tank in a 1:1 fight and win more often than not. While we were initially considering producing a inproved version of the Titan, it was decided to make a new tank. It was decided fromm the start that this tank would have a extreme amount of firepower, and would also have to feature heavy protection.

The first thing that was worked on was the turret. A new turret was designed, instead of a simple upgrade. The tank was given a massive 150 mm main gun, that used highly advanced guided rocket-assisted rounds to both vastly inprove both range and accuracy compared to traditional rounds. It can easilly blast a hole through any known tank, and isn't likely to miss. For less armored threats, the Behemoth can use it's unmanned 50 cal autocannon, which can shred vehicles, infantry, and helicopters alike.

Other weapons it carries include a 10 mm coaxial machine gun slaved to the main gun, and a small unmanned top turret. This turret is designed for indirect fire, and is armed with a double-barrled gernade launcher as well as a advanced 120 mm mortar. It fires special guided rounds, and has great range and amazing accuaracy. Finally, the Behemoth is armed with 16 powerfull anti-tank missiles. When all these weapon systems were combined, it resulted in a truly awe-inspiring tank.

The Chief Executive of Finances suggested we inport a chasis from another country to save money, as we had been engaged in a large-scale war with the Black Alliance. We have had friendly relations with Tongaria, and they had the perfect chasis used for thier excellent SK-8 Tank. It was both bigger, yet lower than any chasis we had produced. Therefore, the joint project began in earnest.

We modified the chasis to suit our needs, but it largely remains the same. When our turret was placed on it, we found it had a great profile compared to many tanks, especially the old OGRE tanks, which is an significant advantage.

For defence, this tank was given state of the art lightweight compostie armor that can rival the best out there. Also, it was given 4 hard-kill active protection systems, instead of the regular two. This gives the tank much better all-around coverage, as the launchers can defeat more incoming enemy rounds from more directions at once. While they have only a 50% block rate each, they can be linked together to have several fire at one target, which helps inprove the odds of defeating the round. The APS can block everything from tank shells to rpgs to missiles. Finaly, some stealth features were added to make it harder to find.

The Behemoth's were given advanced sensors andcomunication equipment that allow better combat ability and cordination between battlefield units, and they communicate directly with our MCS-80 Mobile Command and Control Vehicles.

Awesome! Excellent work on all those details. It must have taken some time to finish this fine design for a tank :-) |
