A 32'Ford Hot Rod I build for the Flickr Kugnuts group 50th building challenge.
About this creation
Lugnuts is the ultimate group for Lego car builders on Flickr. For the 50th building challenge I entered this 32’Ford Hotrod highboy Pickup. The challenge is called: ‘The stuff dreams are made off’ and is about a guy that meets a mysterious woman in a coffee shop. It went like this….
He was so extremely overwhelmed by her looks and the chanting sound of her voice talking about everything he seemed to have forgotten in college, that at the end of the evening, at the moment he hears a roaring sound and sees a couple of taillights fading away, he realizes he does not even know her name.
But that car….. this woman was special, so expected her to have a special car.,, and she did…. No …. not the everyday Mini or Blondie Cayenne… no, this woman had something else to do her shopping….. The taillights he saw disappearing in the night belonged to a beautiful thirties Ford hotrod roadster with an engine most race drivers could barely handle, but she could… big rims, white leather, and full of elegant accessories, yes this lady had not only the looks, but also the wheels….
I respect the work of Nathan and Lino on Lugnuts, so i wanted to bring in something special for this 50th contest. It is full of detail and new techniques (for me). The rims are unique and composed of 2 chromed Lego motorbike wheels, and fit together with a standard tire, there is a lot of chrome and functionality too in this Rod.
WOW! This is definetly one of my favorite Hot Rod on MOCpages... FOREVER! :D Love it! The shape is spot on, the details are great, this engine's too!!! Build more of them! (Because you're seriously good at building these!!! :D)
Wow, this is awesome! The shaping, the details, the functions, the separable body and chassis and, of course, the engine ... What a beauty, and soooo shiny. The chrome bricks must have cost a little fortune. Great parts usage, especially on the engine. This is definitely one of the most beautiful Hot Rods ever built with LEGO! :-))
I'm not usually a fan of Hot Rods but this is certainly an exception. It beautiful! Very accurate and crammed full of wonderful details. I see we were both on the homepage together but both dropped off :-( Happy Christmas BoW
Oh wow!! Soooo shiny!! A bit of a step away from your normal builds but it's still just as good : ) Amazing detail as always, this is perhaps my new favourite rod on MOCpages. 10/10 P.S Very clever wheels, which look like chromed motorbike wheels inserted into Techic tyres?
