Finally I get to post my 1971 Le Mans winning Porsche 917 which has been gathering dust for over a month. Built to go with my Mercedes Transporter which are both built for Ape Fights brilliant Classic Race Teams Group.

The porsche 917 was on my list of great vehicles of all time with the lancia stratos, the f40, the porsche 959, the SLK AMG Black series the one Jeramy Clarkson owns. you are a amazing and talented builder. I like to talk to people who get into the groove and feel of a creative leap with bricks. you rock. : ) |

Wow, this is seriously awesome! The use of those thin tires for the headlamp surrounds and windscreen is inspired. And the level of detail on the engine and paint job are quite something. I think you're giving Firas Abu-Jaber a run for his money with these, looking forward to seeing the full set! |

Haha this definitely has comedy factor. I'd like to try something like this but I'm not sure I'd have the patience. And thanks for your comments on my Porsche :-) Happy Christmas to the LB family!
Yes, it does require lots of patience! The walking technique that my brother and I currently use is a often called a 5-step walk cycle. The easiest animation to see this that I've made is the test #3 - 4th animation. I suggest doing tests like we've done, then do more complicated ones as your skill in animation improves. And as far as editing, it can be a pain, so right now we don't have any sound for our videos (it makes editing a million times harder). For regular walking, each frame is 0.1 second. I'd love to see a animation from you and Mortal. BTW, search "MICHAELHICKOXFilms" on YouTube - he's a REAL master at Lego animations! |

Wow that is terrifically detailed and very ingenuitive, loving all the little clever parts. For the next two cars, why not do the blue salzburg, and the green one-they would be fitting with the salzburg transporter, but if you want different ones, why not try the "pink pig" and maybe the flat-16 porsche concept. food for thought...
Thanks Alex for you nice comments, do you know how much pink I'd have to bug to build the pig? Nice idea but it's not going to happen I'm affraid. I already have one Porsche in mind, the 908/2 Spyder. I would certainly enjoy building that flat 16 engine but the car is a bit similar to the 908 Spyder. |

Wow, that's sooo cool! It's great to see it compared to Malte's one: Same model, same scale, but so different building techniques. Your style is more conventional but the result is equally amazing. And there are so many details to discover, especially the interior and the engine compartment. But I have to say, my favourite part is the windshield. Only using one tube you managed to form the characteristic outlines of the windshield so well. Oh and the car, it fits so well into the transporter. Great job! :-)) |

Seen the teaser pics, now time for the real thing : ) Amazing work; it's very accurate astheically, and you've worked out some genius solutions too, the cockpit window and dashboard dials being my favourites (I think we'll see these cropping up in a few places now!). The engine though, is my personal highlight. 5 stars, and an extra one for the final shot with it in the back of the Mercedes, so 6/5 : ) |
