In 2,000,000 B.C., "bringing home the bacon" usually meant clubbing it to death first.
About this creation
I know that there was about 63 million years separating the last of the dinosaurs and the first homo habilis, but I think that if Lego can create a "Cavewoman" minifig that looks like the love child of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm, then I can take some artistic license as well.
I'm really happy with how the rotting carcass turned out. That's probably my favorite part.
This moc actually started out as an excuse to use the long green tenticle/vine pieces from the 7985 City of Atlantis set. I was imagining a vine covered jungle cliff as the backdrop. But I'd never made a tree from scratch before as part of a moc, and I was having a little too much fun discovering new ways to angle the branches... The tree sort of took over and the green vines on the cliff are almost invisible as a result.
But even though the end result strayed from my vision, I'm still pretty happy with it.
