My gift from my Secret Santa!

Welcome back everybody. It’s the time of year when I’m lucky enough to receive a gift from a secret Santa and likewise, subject some poor victim to being roughly Santa’d. Possibly from behind.
For anybody who doesn’t know, a group of friendly ne’er do wells here on the pages are joining in the second annual Secret Santa. We build and send gifts of Lego vignettes to a randomly selected recipient. This idea was started by Mr Dave Kaleta last year and I hope it goes on for many more. The original spec called for an 8x8 vig but this was quickly ignored or forgotten.
This was the lovely surprise I received from my Santa somewhere else on the globe. But what is in the box?
Zoinks! It’s a Stu in the box! That was the title I was given by my Santa, who then flattered me by saying they would leave the rest up to my creative and joking nature. I have thanked them already but indulge me while I thank them here again. It is such a lovely thing that somebody would take the time out to create something unique just for you.
It also plays absolutely to my sense of humour and whimsy, and spookily I received it just as I posted my last MOC which also featured a black and white jack in the box and my siggy. Hmmm…. I have to say, genius rendition of the minifig beanie hat in cubedude scale.

Well, my Secret Santa this year was the wonderful Kevin Walter! Thanks so much Kevin, it now sits proudly in my home even though the rest of the Christmas decorations are packed away for another year. Only Shifu guessed correctly (and he could have edited his guess.....) so he wins a large package of bacon, black pudding and pork chops. All ready for collection from my fridge ;) Happy new year everyone! |
