The borders of the elven lands are closely guarded to prevent intrusion by the forces of darkness. Watch towers, built in an age long gone, stand guard, with lonely sentinels surveying the land for threats.
About this creation

Notes: This is me taking another shot at building in the medieval genre. I'm actually very happy with how this came out, especially the waterfall, which is my first one. I don't love the trees, but I threw them in there mainly just to test a couple tree building techniques rather than my usual arch-based trees.
The design for the tree made of tubes is stolen from one of Ru Corder's trees, and the other design I have seen used in multiple places, although never with the piece of bionicle armor that I used for the trunk. I didn't have enough black pieces of the type needed for the bionicle-trunk tree, so I had to use blueish ones, which I don't really like.
The tower, in my opinion, came out quite well, and I spent a long time trying to figure out how to put a roof on it, but I eventually succeeded.
If anyone has any tips or criticism for the landscape, please don't hesitate to put them in a comment, because I'm not a great landscaper, but would really like to improve.
Thanks for looking!

Very cool! I really like the overall tone and color scheme. The dark grey of the tower feels very 'elf-ish' I think. I generally hate tire treads of any kind but you did a nice job using one here! |

it looks very good! about the landscape, it s not desastrous, but, using more brown would be a good start, black tubes, or grey branches looks less realistic, otherwise, I find nothing wrong about it! |

Lovely build! - I'm just writing this message because I haven't seen you around the MOC Speed Contest group recently, and only two days remain for the first round! I hope you will have time to upload your entry. Good luck! |

WOW! My favorite thing about the watch tower is the tire, that right there deserves the NPU award. (If there was one...) |

Great build! I never bought an elf from the minifig series.....and I really regret it. The tower you built has a very elven feel to the arhitecture. |

Genius use of that tire! It would be neat to see more uses of tires when building architectural creations. Well done! Echoing Ru, landscapes benefit quite a lot from dynamic terrain. Composing a scene around a smooth, yet varied terrain that incorporates, on however small a scale, a hills and valleys can really increase the realism and generate more interest. Again, great work! |

I agree with ru, but I was drawn in by that great use of a tire! Tires are overused in too many bad places in the bionicle community, so I'm not used to tires being used in creative ways! Good job! |

Very nice! I love the tower, especially the use of the tire, though the tower does look a tad small. The landscape is actually very well done, though some more height differentiation with plates would be nice. |
