Kre-O is very dissapointing - Lego Rules! There are so many people that can do wonderful things with lego blocks you'd think they'd tap somebody instead of having non transforming transformers (don't get me started, LOL! ) Glad you like it! V2 coming soon!

I can't believe that I haven't written a comment for this one, yet! You may not like the Bayformers, but you did a great job on this one. The shape and the transformation function is just awesome. Great job! :-)) By the way, I just saw the first images of the Kre-O Transformers presented for the European market at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. I can't believe that Hasbro has made such a poor attempt to combine Transformers and plastic bricks. I can understand that they use the Transformers brand to present their LEGO clone bricks, but the models don't even transform! They must know that there is a fan base capable of building Transformers with LEGO and their own designers are not!? Poor, poor Hasbro, they should have asked you how it's done right! :-))

Well Chris, while I must admit that I agree with you about this particular design's flaws, all in all, I am quite blown away by how good this moc is, I know all too well how difficult it is to build a workable version of a 'Bayformer' Prime, but this is pretty cool!!! :)
Looking forward to seeing version 2 in all his glory. =) |

U did not read the other comments, version 2 corrects the mid section problem quite nicely its staring at me right now. I'll post that in the new year! This can't be that bad as it is now my highest ranking Optimus MOC and my second highest legoformer of all time despite his trim waistline..... and I don't even like bayformers.

Ok, I'm not a fan of the Bay films, I think the designs are ugly, the humour puerile and the stories muddled and full of holes. That said it is a very distinctive aesthetic which lends itself well to lego (a lot of fans nicknamed the early designs "bionicles").
You've pulled off a pretty good combination here of keeping a robot mode that looks like the movie version and retains a workable and more importantly, recognisable alt mode.
As with all your designs the transformation is genuine, something that other legoformer builders don't always pull off.
the main weakness is the middle section, waist and stomach are a little plain by comparison to the rest of the design. (but you mentioned that is something you are addressing with the version 2).

you can see my collection on my 100th youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uahBL5u7nxo - and there is a MOC called my Lego Workshop already - my bricks are basically sorted this way - large bins for standard bricks in each colour - then small bins for each colour for: plates, round bricks, sloped bricks, tiles, then everything else I categorizes as specialty bricks for each colour. Wheels, train track , transluscents etc.. have their own small bins! Hope that helps!

Yes, they can do a lot with computer animation, almost too much. But, you did a really good job making this one work. Certainly G1 models are more 'realistic' with the component distribution between modes, not that I have seen any transformers walking down my street lately. So as Chris P mentioned, when you going to tackle a full size Unicron? Not that you probably don't already have enough on your plate. |

Thanks, I think I got enough feedback tonight and some ideas to solve the lack of meat in the torso issue - so maybe it'll take me another two years to release a version 2 (hopefully not) but I think I can improve that defficiency without too much modification. After all my G1 Prime has had over 6 incarnations alone so far.
