5867 (Alt. #1) Ultra Light Roadster
5867 Creator Set Alternative: An ultra light roadster with a V8 mid-engine for great driving pleasure
About this creation
Nathanael Kuipers' alternatives of the 5867 Creator set really inspired me to get the set before it's out of stock. So I bought one the next time I saw it. I have to say with this set you get a cool amount of bricks for your money.

First I built the main model just to get a feeling for the set. Then I started with a chassis and went on building a front end without knowing where this would take me. Then I got the idea to build an ultra light roadster like the KTM Xbow or the Ariel Atom.

Front view: See the big air intake. Some air for the front brakes and maybe for a cooler, too. And it looks cool :-))

Side view: The V8 is more ore less the design of the original model. I thought it already looked cool, so I didn't change it.

Rear left view: The big spoiler and some big exhaust pipes.

Rear view: A grill to get the air out of the engine compartment and a diffusor to get more downforce (the spoiler alone wasn't big enough) ;-))

Open door: I thought it had to be fun to drive it, so I let LEGO Nils take a ride. Of course, he isn't part of the set, but all the rest of the parts are.

A look into the interior: Only a steering wheel and a dashboard. I simply ran out of parts for more.

So this is my 1st alternative for Creator Set 5867. I hope you like it :-))

What a cool alternate! The front is very cool, I like the air intake and it is good, that you didn't hide the engine among LEGO bricks. I will run away, if I meet with it on a street crossing :)

How can I not like this?! It's a privilege to know that my models inspired you to buy this set. ^_^ I hope you will not be disappointed. The rear section looks great, with all the details. I also like the scissordoors. Those are a nice touch as well.
