Finally finished the nose of the ship! It is a odd shape to make in LEGO, but oh well. I did have to modify it to make it possible in LEGO bricks though. Next up should be the bridge, but as I already commented, this will likely be more in the style of a jetfighter cockpit.
Version: Pre-Work Stage 2
I finished the engine wings after having some problems working on these. Also mounted the engines to these wings. Now it's all ready for next stage, which is the nose. From there working my way to the back.
I posted the rough idea of what the total should be. It isn't the best image since it doesn't show the hull, but it is at least a start!

Well we starting a new project, or actually as you can see, already did a few things.
Currently the most smaller things which can be made in modules are finished. The engines will be placed under a wing and the front wing will be on the underside of the nose. Further I made small shields that will be placed on the sides. And a small wing that is the same for each side and will be horizontal.
The model will differ from the orriginal model due to some parts not being there. Also I will make a bridge for 2 or 3 minifigs. Other things will be that I have to figure out how and where to place it's weapons. This will be a difficult task for this specific model.
lol, yeah it's a challenge alright! But the current nose is likely to weak, so I may have to redesign that and directly make it wider and a little taller. This for the bridge. But not sure yet.
Progress Log:
I am nearly finished with the nose of the ship! Took a bit longer due to the odd nose shape, but it may be worth it in the end!
After the nose is done, I will be working on the bridge. This should be challenging as well due to the narrow space. So it likely be more like a jetfighter's cockpit. With (so far I can see now) 2 minifig seats.
