MIT Round 5 Zac. Vs E.K.O I spy
Zac. vs Eko in: Forced Perspective: Create a false sense of scale in your moc. We're leaving this category WAY open to allow for creative freedom. As long as your forced perspective is the focus of your moc, you're good to go.
About this creation
I had some great ideas about what to build in this round, I thought a false sense of scale and after seeing the MocOlympics entry's I though my idea Was better.
I decided that I wanted something if not original than different

Now the formalities:
MIT 2011
E.K.O

The guard upon the rampart looked out towards the enemy battleship

The sailor in the crows nest looked forth towards the looming presence of the evil castle

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

How I did it..Quite easily actually.

The castle is my first ever micro castle! Would you believe it!

I hope you enjoyed this!
Good luck E.K.O, and please rate and comment!

That's cool, you really got the idea of the forced perspective. The micro castle is gorgeous. Great job! :-))

You have the idea of the category down, but the forced perspective wasn't quite as well as EKO's. However, good job, but my vote will have to go to your opponent.

Very nice work Zac and you fought the good fight, my vote also goes to Eko, but you had an excellent run in these games. Great work!

You've done excellent work throughout the MIT, it's difficult to judge this round for sure. You did a great job with the scale of the ships and the castle, and I liked that we saw the perspective from the ship and from land. But I didn't quite get the seamless feel of the forced perspective that I got with E.K.O.'s creation. My vote goes to your opponent.

Quoting Hans Dendauw NPD This is a nice example of forced perspective and well built. However, I feel your opponent captured the concept a little better and he gets my vote.~H
Oh well I've had a good run,and ill be back next year.

First off, congratulations to making it this far. Both builds are exemplary and achieved the category's requirement. IMO, the tipping point is the physical connection between the 'normal' perspective and the 'forced' perspective, which E.K.O.'s bridge wonderfully grasped. My vote goes to your opponent.

I like your idea of showing both views. And... that's a mighty cute little ship! Crazy... I happen to be reading a book on Geometry in Baroque Architecture & just read the chapter on forced prospective and projected geometry. The author would be proud of you! Best of Luck! :)
