No reason, only madness
About this creation
Mankind, we live blinded in our own fabricated reality, unwilling to explore the truth beyond what we already know and take to be real. We are weak, insignificant, self-flattering trifles in a micro-speck of the universe. We live our daily lives accomplishing only those necessary tasks for our survival until the next day, for we are slaves to the own laws that we’ve created. How pathetic.

|
We mire in our own insignificant misery, and we suffer before we pretend to gain wisdom and then waste all in death. We are naïve, hoping that our lives can be extended in the afterworld, hoping that our souls might live on. In fact, mankind does not have souls, we are simply given the most basic form of reason so we can gloat pathetically about our accomplishments and write about love.

|
The cosmos and the real entities are not so forgiving of such innate bestiality. The great entities wait patiently for eons so they can prove the insignificance of our existence when the right time comes at the height of humanity and its sins. We are not rulers of this world but a microbial stain on the fabric of time and space. Soon mankind’s sins and ignorance will be punished.
|

|
|
We will not die a quick death, but rather mankind will lapse into insanity by the mere revelation of what is unknown to us. We will deeply yearn for the primordial days when we had the merciful gift of ignorance. Our knowledge of the cosmos will end our existence in the most horrific and unimaginable way. The most sane and wise men will crumple into madness as their minds decay or shatter in the face of truth: that mankind has no role in the existence of the universe and time.
|

|
|
We are not even significant enough to be considered pawns by some greater entity or species; we are nothing more than an immeasurably small taint in the cosmos. It is our stubborn pride that’s bigger than everything else we have, even the planet we live on. Our home can no longer tolerate our careless mistreatment of her. She is beginning to rebel and prove to us the consequences of our sins. Darkness will consume the Earth and mankind will go insane.

Those of us imaginative enough have foreseen the likeliness of such end in the times ahead. We, who are gifted and cursed with imagination, are no longer concerned for the rest of humanity. We will try to live our lives just like any man, sinful and emotional, but knowing that it is darkest right before everything goes pitch black.

very good. the human race is punishing itslef.
One believes to much in material happiness to see how we are corrupting ourselves. Only now do I understand the folly of religion: to hold onto the last piece of sane driftwood from our soon-to-be destroyed society. No I am not trying to offend religious people just saying that I have never understood religion until now.

hmm... so true. although, I can't pretend to be one of these creative few who really understand, for doing that in itself disproves it. simply because I understand your rational does not mean I am as you are, or for that matter that you are as you seem to make claim to in this annalisus (I'm pretty sure I misspelled like three words out of that whole tangent... my bad.) |

Good art, I guess. I really don't understand existentialism. It seems that, taken to its logical conclusion, it is essentially nihilism, but apparently not. Nihilism itself is a oxymoron; one must believe in something if one believes in nothing. |

We thrive in dillusion, and we substitute the truth with a desirable reality. This human being is one of the few hundreds that understand our fate.
And I am one too. |

Well according to the Maya(Native American race like the Aztec for those of you who don't know who the Maya are, and if you don't know who the Aztec are you need to leave your computer no matter what time of the day it is, and go to your local library, you lazy computer bum) anywho... The Maya say the world will end and the "pitch black" will come 12/23/2012. That's only four years away!!! I'm to young and pretty to die! |

Nannan, humanity has already gone insane. Our greatest fear is the unknown, and none of us are brave enough to explore beyond what we know, and us being humans,we send out probes as scouts to places we are never going to go. |

Totally awesome. "we are simply given the most basic form of reason so we can gloat pathetically about our accomplishments and write about love" If that had been "love songs" it would be funny as well as profound. Further proof that in the right hands, LEGO is art |

"... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."
Your words reminded me of that. Keep going. |

Like all things, significance is entirely relative. One could turn this line of reasoning around and put ourselves in the shoes of mere insects. To bugs that only live a season, the end of the world seems to come every winter! It is much the same way we perceive the earth's natural temperature fluctutions as "global warming" and have the arrogance to say it was caused by us. If there are beings greater than us and a great truth to it all, who is to say it is a bleak, hopeless one? Those "gifted and cursed" with enough imagination can see things both ways if they try. Just as there might be nothing, there might also be something out there which does grant us immortality, perhaps even a greatEST being above all others. We as ignorant humans cannnot discount the possibility... |

As a Lego engineer: Great construction techniques there, and you did a good job with the minifigures to be certain. You make good use of several key design elements and combine them well.
As an artist and critic: I would disagree with the whimsical, though it does have the same sort of appeal as does "spy vs. spy" (and for your information, I like spy vs. spy.) Your artistic use of the Lego system is applauded, if the art itself is indeed semi-depressing. However, It doses have great aesthetic appeal, something to be desired in almost all art.
As a human: Good job! Great use of spheres. Keep up the good work. |
