It's also brilliant that you got the S-foils to close completely. I'm amazed at how many tweaks of yours have been incorporated into TLG's 2012 X-wing model, like the wide sloped bricks on the wings and the sticks through the parabola element on the cannon tips. That's one set I won't be able to pass up!

Quoting andros tempest I'd be more than happy to say I'd built this. And it doesn't look 10 years old. However as a model of the actual movie model there is a slight issue with the nose cone. I can't put my finger on what I'm uncomfortable with, but it just feels like it isn't the right shape. Beyond that, anything that isn't EXACTLY like the original I'm inclined to mark up to artistic license. The scale is much closer to film accurate in comparison to a minifig. One of the biggest issues of the official set (and the hasbro models) of the X-Wing is they are too short, but you fixed that brilliantly. Colours are spot on, though I suspect a more stud-less version would be possible, it's not a deal breaker for me (I like the odd stud visible, reminds me that we are working with lego). so what else is coming out of the classic cupboard?
