ESC "HammerStrike" Amyris Class Personnel Carrier
A massively armored, high capacity ship for transporting Infantry and Armor between the worlds of the Corporate Sector.
About this creation
Acting Captain: Mrs. Eritys Arakni
Homeworld: Zathin, Edges Synthos Corporation Trust, Primary Manufacturing

The Amyris Class Personnel Carrier is a specially designed carrier for the transportation of ESC Security Forces Marines, ARTCS, as well as the Security Forces Aricraft. A full landing division of ESC Security Forces can be transported on three such carriers.

The Amyris features two major hangar structures, one on the dorsal section, and one on the verntal hull, and four smaller ones, two on the starboard and two on the port. The central hull provides the Personnel to be transported with lodging and facilities. In addition, the Amyris Class carries eight Cannonball Dropships within its hangars.

The dorsal hangar facility is very huge and is open both fore and aft, though traffic generally only travels in one direction, towards the Bow. This hangar can support 4 Cannonball Dropships at once. The dropships load to the front of the hangar to the rear to load troops and armor, and then they moveout to make their landings. All eight of the Amyris Class's Cannonballs are serviced through this hangar.

The Amyris is powered by two standard Resonance Induced Drives, which provided it decent acceleration, though the Amyris is not rated for ship combat. Most typically, Amyris Class vessels arrived to disgorge their personnel once the Security Fleets have secured a safe orbital path around the planet to receive the landing party.

Amryis Class do not have ship to ship weapons systems, and rely heavily on escorts for protection. They do have highly sufficient armor, thicker than just about any other vessel fielded by the ESC, as well as a functional AA network.

A Soritan Class Carrier seen next to an Amyris Class. These ships are massive and have incredible carrying capacity.

Each of the four side hangars hold a single Cannonball Dropship prepped for a hotdrop. Each dropship is already loaded for initial drops, and can deploy at a moment's notice.

Images of my completely reworked Cannonball Dropship, since the original file was lost. These ships can carry a massive load of 24 Naginata ARTCS, and a full division of Marines.

The massive hangar on the ventral hull is dedicated to holding ARTCS and Aircraft as well as other Armor for the landing forces. Huge elevators transport the armor to the lower hangars for loading.

CULTURAL NOTE:

Zathin is a heavily industrialized world on a somewhat arrid terran world. Much of the industry is underground, where the architects prefered to go down, instead of up. Much of the population live in underground warrens. These warrens are designed to simulate the surface, however. Zathin is a very mineral rich world, and as such, manufacturing is inexpensive and easy.

Quoting Cedekane . Really nice big and bulky ship. Very thoughtful on the planet/moon casting its shadow on the background pic, really nice job.
Thanks. You guys are going to start seeing more backgrounds of my own creation, so stand by.

Quoting Mike C Very impressive ship my friend. The multi-hanger design is a great idea. And the pics came out awesome I like the technique you used to get the size differences. Excellent work
Well, it was an intereting ship nonetheless, and I wish I could portray it the way I saw. Thanks for the feedback!

Excellent work, the carrier has a very cool shape to it, and the drophip as well. Excellent photo editing too!

Quoting Thomas Z. Awesome work as always! I like the way you "cheated" with the sizes :D It really feels massive. The background you made also looks pretty neat. Have you checked out my Zeta Gundam yet? Btw, when will you start making a Gundam? :P
I have started the Gundam but it's slow going, as I am unfamiliar with designing one. As for the difference in size, it's not cheating. I have limited size that I can generate on my comp. But it makes a good image to size correct.

Quoting Liam Covey Very interesting... I like the hangars very much. Well done.
I got the design from a dream. I was ejected from a similar looking ship in a cockpit of some sort, and rode down through a re-entry. I crashed and broke my leg. My leg throbbed when I woke up.
