P-51 Mustang "Glamorous Glen III" as flown by American Captain Chuck Yeager, of the 357th Fighter Group (FG) and 363rd Fighter Squadron (FS). Yeager scored 13 kills during his time in combat, including the achievement of "Ace in a Day," where he shot down 5 enemy aircraft in one mission. His last kill came just in time, as Yeager came across a Ju-88 strafing a downed B-17 crew. Yeager sent the Ju-88 down in flames, thus saving the lives of the crew. Yeager also shot down an Me-262 jet fighter near the end of the war. The 357th had an incredible kill ratio of nearly 6 to 1, and was the 3rd highest scoring FG of the ETO. The 357th was recognizable by the red and yellow checkered pattern on the noses of their Mustangs. After leaving the 357th at wars end, Yeager went on to be the first pilot to break the sound barrier, and become the most famous test pilot in history. All his planes were named "Glamorous Glen," after his wife.

The funny thing is the reason I got into this is I have a hard time sleeping, so on nights when I can sleep I've found that by doing something creative and precise is a great way to focus my minds energy towards something and in the end wear me out enough to get sleepy! Besides this I paint at night too...

Well done! At first, the nose looked a little bit too long, but now I'm not sure anymore. I don't know of anyway to work around it. Couldn't have done any better myself! Excellent plane!
