This is an MVA at the instresection of Winner's Highway and Brickbottom Road involving a Smartcar and a Yamaha motorbike. This accident occurred about two miles away from the West Brickwich Summit Station. Rescue 1 and Engine 1 were first due on scene with the backup of Rescue 4 to treat the other sustained injuries of the driver. The paramedics of both Rescue 1 and Rescue 4 could successfully treat and transport the victims to the Guardian Children's Hospital in White Ridge. We later recieved word that the motorbike driver broke and dislocated his kneecap, ankle and he broke his his rib. The driver of the Samrtcar was treated for minor injuries and released within 3 days of the accident. The WBVFD was heavily thanked by both of the victims and the driver of the motorbike will tryout to be a WBVFD FF in January of 2012.
